Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peek: Flutterby my Window
Hey there! I’m so glad you stopped by today because the Baker’s Dozen and I are kicking off our sneak peeks for the March release and we have such fabulous goodies to share!
My first project uses a stamp set that you might recognize, called Vintage Dreamer. This set was previously released only to our Key Ingredients subscribers last year and I’m excited to now make it available to everyone! And if you’re one of the lucky ladies who already owns this set then we have lots of new projects to get you inspired to break it out again!
I used the Vintage Dreamer set sparingly on this card (the cream colored medallion and the sentiment) and paired it with a new set of dies called Flutterbys:
I used new papers from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes 6×6 pad, punching circles from various patterns. The Flutterbys die set includes four beautiful butterflies. There are two sets of butterflies each with a solid cutout and a detailed overlay. I used the smaller solid butterfly in the middle and cut the detailed overlay from vellum, airbrushed them with Copics, and used them on the two outside circles.
I added coordinating Plum Pearls, Teal Pearls, and yellow glitter candy dots to the centers of the butterflies and finished it off with some natural burlap twine. The finished size of the card is 3.5″ x 7″.
My second project uses the new From my Window stamp set and coordinating Arched Window die:
In addition, I used the new Banner Stacklets 2 die and Open Scallop Border die. I cut the window from patterned paper and backed it with a piece of transparency. Then I stamped the outdoor scene in Memento Espresso Truffle ink and colored it with Copics to sit behind the window. The patterned paper is from the new MME Collectable Unforgettable collection.
Here’s a closeup of the sweet scene:
I’ve seen some of the projects the rest of the team has created with this set and all I can say is “Get ready to be amazed!”. I’m so impressed by the fabulous creativity and I can’t wait for you to see it! So what are you waiting for!? Hop along and see more goodies!
