TE Web Store Launch Day 3 – Share Joy
Good morning, crafty friends! Today I have something to share that’s very near to my heart. With the recent launch of our new web store myself and the TE Team have had time to reflect on the creative journey that has brought us here. From the first cupcake-inspired stamp set, to the introduction of Taylored Dies, to the creation of our Stamp of the Month program, it has been a wonderful adventure and we’re so thankful to all of you who have joined us throughout the years.
At the heart of Taylored Expressions is a mission to share joy. This is by no means an original
idea. Since the first greeting cards were made and exchanged back in the
15th century, the making and giving of handmade cards has been the
mission of a long line of creative people who intentionally share joy
through the creation of these little bits of happiness. Those of you who make and share cards can certainly attest that it brings great joy to put a smile on someone’s face with a work that you created by your own hands.
And so today I am pleased to introduce our Share Joy Campaign:
Several times a year, we will work with a carefully chosen charitable organization to receive handmade creations as we seek to Share Joy with those around the world through a handmade greeting. We’d like to invite you to participate by sending us your handmade creations.
For the launch of our Share Joy campaign, we have chosen to work with hospital chaplains throughout the United States for a couple reasons. First, we desire to have a personal and sustainable connection with our partnering charities. My father served as a chaplain in Southern California and Jon personally knows several hospital chaplains as well. This will allow us to have an ongoing relationship and better serve their needs over time. Second, due to the nature of their work, hospital chaplains encounter many different people in a variety of situations including celebrating a birth, grieving the death of a loved one, or struggling with a new diagnosis. The joy of a handmade card is a universal language and we’re excited to make a difference with your card donations in a unique and hopeful way!
Guidelines for Card Donations:
1. A2 cards only, no envelopes necessary
2. Themes: General & Spiritual Encouragement, Praying for You, Sympathy, Congratulations at Birth. Please do not send Get Well cards. Please do not write inside the cards, stamped sentiments are acceptable.
3. TE stamps are NOT
required to donate to Share Joy. Cards created with TE stamps/dies will be eligible for a
special feature detailed below.
4. Deadline: All cards must be
received by Friday, August 16th.
5. Mailing Address:
Taylored Expressions
Attn: Share Joy
121 SE Shurfine Drive Suite 3
Ankeny, Iowa 50021
And because we love to share what our customers are creating, we’ll be keeping an eye out for any cards that do use TE stamps or
dies. We’ll choose our favorites and feature them on the Taylored
Expressions homepage slide along with your name and location.
Thank you in advance for joining us on our mission to Share Joy! We have several gals from the Baker’s Dozen design team, Key Ingredients design team, alumni, and friends joining us to help spread the word. They’re all sharing card inspiration and letting us in on what brings them joy in cardmaking. Check ’em out!
