Hey there and welcome to our first day of sneak peeks for the March Release! All of the new products will be available for purchase at the TE Store on Thursday, March 6 at 7am PST! I’m excited to change things up a bit for our sneak peeks this month!
While we have loved throwing our Facebook Preview Parties each month, we
know it has been hard for many of our fans to attend. So we’re mixing
things up by moving the party right here to the Taylored Expressions Blog! I’ll be sharing full product photos and giving away party prizes as we celebrate the release of all the new goodies! So let’s get this party started!
Simply visit the TE Blog each day on Monday, Tuesday, and
Wednesday of this week and leave a comment for a chance to win a daily
prize.
Today we’re giving away a Welcome Home stamp set and Neighborhood Border to one lucky winner!
Enter to win by leaving a comment on this blog post before Wednesday, March 5 at 11:59pm PST. One entry per person. Each comment will also be automatically entered into our Grand Prize drawing for a $50 Gift Certificate to the TE Store! Winners will be chosen at random and announced on Thursday, March 6, 2014.
Introducing Welcome Home, Build a House, and Neighborhood Border:
The brilliant idea for this stamp set and companion dies comes from our resident expert “builder” Sankari Wegman and was brought to life by illustrator Nancy McKinney! This adds to Sankari’s previously released Build a Treat and Build a Scene concepts. My mind is going crazy with all the possibilities, but I decided to start simple with this card using the Neighborhood Border Die:
It’s important to note that there is no bottom cutting edge on this die so you can trim the bottom off to whatever width you prefer for your project. I trimmed mine in order to fit the quote and patterned paper underneath.
Instead of piecing each of the windows with yellow cardstock (that would have taken forever!) I glued small pieces of yellow to the back of the die cut to cover all the windows. Then I pieced the doors with navy cardstock. And I don’t know any card that doesn’t benefit from a sweet paper flower, a Doodlebug sprinkle, and a little hemp cord!
Another fun little detail is to make one of the homes pop by piecing a different color over the top as I did with the red house on the block.
Introducing Shade Tree Sentiment & Shade Tree Scripture
These two stamp sets were designed to coordinate with the previously released Shade Tree Cutting Plate (shown below), but I’m sure you’ll find many pairings for these versatile sentiments!
I cut out the Shade Tree from brown cardstock, layered over the top of the teal blue paper, and added a rolling hill in the background. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Luxe in Espresso Truffle with clear embossing over the top.
In this photo you can see some of the previously released products that work great for embellishing the shade tree. The flowers are from Flowerbox Sprigs & Flowers, the birdhouse is from Birch Tree Accessories, and the bird is from Birds & Branch. I also added a couple wood veneer hearts and some pearls to the flower centers.
You’ll definitely want to check out what the rest of the Baker’s Dozen has designed using these new goodies! Click on the beautiful faces below for more eye candy:
