Partnership: Taylored Expressions + Simple Stories Day 1
Here at Taylored Expressions, we love pocket scrapbooking products! From our
own Pockets & Pages collection of stamps and dies to masterfully designed card
inserts and embellishments, we love filling our albums with a little bit of
everything! And because of our card-making roots we can’t resist sharing how
these products lend themselves to beautiful card creations too!
This week we’re especially thrilled to partner with the Simple Stories
design team to bring you inspiration using our Pocket & Pages products
paired with the bright blues and greens of Simple Stories’ A Charmed Life Collection.
For the next six days you’ll find inspiration from talented designers both
here on the Taylored Expressions Blog and on the Simple Stories Blog so make
sure you visit both places! And to add a little more pizazz to our party, we’re giving away prizes!
GIVEAWAY: Simply comment on any (or all!) of our blog posts during our partnership with Simple Stories from March 24th – 29th. For each comment we will enter your name into a drawing to win a Simple Stories 12×12 Faux Leather Album, a 12×12 Pocket Page Variety Pack, and a DIY Boutique Collection Pack from Simple Stories! Leave your comments by March 29th at 8pm PST. The winner will be announced here on Sunday, March 30th.

Today Regina & I are taking our turn on the TE Blog and we’ve been busy
creating pocket layouts featuring photos of our favorite little people:
Regina’s Notes: My husband is going to be away for work for three weeks and he is always
so sad to be apart from us. I was so excited to surprise him with a
mini 4×4 album to remind him of us while he is away. I didn’t have very much time before he needed to pack,
so I was thrilled to get to use the A Charmed Life collection along with
my stash of Pockets & Pages dies and stamps.
Regina’s Notes: The colors were a fun mix that worked really well when coordinating with
my photos and I loved the convenience of the ‘insta’-sized paper that I
could so easily slip into my pages. With the P&P 2×2 and 4×4
Essentials Dies, I made short work of my album pages.
Regina’s Notes: The P&P Circle Words set made adding a fun die-cut a breeze, too.
And I know my husband will enjoy the look of the Chunky Alpha as he
flips through the album wishing he could come home to us soon.
Supplies: (Snap Insta-Squares, Bits & Pieces, Simple Basics Kit from A Charmed
Life Collection) Simple Stories; (Instafun stamp set, P&P 2×2 and
4×4 Essentials Dies, Chunky Alpha, P&P Circle Words) Taylored
Expressions; (embellishments) Studio Calico and Doodlebug
Taylor’s Notes: I began scrapbooking when we had our daughter Madelyn, but I’ve had trouble keeping up with my traditional 12×12 layouts, especially now with the addition of Charlee to our family. I took up pocket scrapbooking last year and I’ve had lots of fun looking back at older photos and catching up on preserving the memories of our daughters. The bright greens and blues in Simple Stories A Charmed Life collection seemed to fit perfectly with what I was picturing for these photos!
Taylor’s Notes: During her photo session we handed Madelyn a flower and she proceeded to pick the petals off one by one. It made me smile then and makes me smile all over again now. So I thought the “He Loves Me… He Loves Me Not” would be the perfect phrase to accompany these photos. I spelled it out with the alphabet stickers included in the collection kit.
Taylor’s Notes: All of the inserts and photos in my layout were cut out using our Pockets & Pages Essentials dies. I actually never put these sets away because I use them on every layout! I also used several other TE dies to accent the coordinating products from Simple Stories.
