Today we’re sharing several new products that I know will become useful go-to sets in my own collection of stamps. Care & Comfort II follows up our still popular Care & Comfort stamp set. Cards that express sympathy and comfort during difficult times are some of the most appreciated and thoughtful cards. From my own experience, it’s sometimes hard to know what to write inside these cards and this stamp set has many options to let the recipient know they are loved. Mother’s Day is also right around the corner and we have one versatile stamp set to celebrate all of the women in our lives along with several companion dies to make your Mother’s Day cards special.

I created two Mother’s Day cards for today’s sneak peek. Sometimes I do intricate cards for our moms, but this year I decided to create something simple. And you know what I discovered? Simple can often be more difficult (at least for me!)! I fussed with these cards for an eternity, but I do like how they turned out. This card started with my vision to emboss the image from Sketched Blooms onto navy blue cardstock as the focal image.
Then I die cut the vase from patterned paper and popped it up over the top of the embossed stems. The heart was hand-cut from the patterned paper and glued onto the vase.
The sentiment, from Greetings for Her, was cut out with the smallest shape from Label Stacklets 8. And then to finish off the card I added some of my favorites.
Yep, you guessed it… Doodlebug Sprinkles.
I took a lighter approach with my second card and used Silhouette Stems 4 as the focal point. I die cut the several of the stems and cut portions of the flowers for balance.
I used a striped pattern from the Basic Grey RSVP 6×6 collection to ground the card and separated the stems from the pattern with the new Band It 2 cut from yellow patterned paper. The sentiment, from Greetings for Her, was stamped onto the white die cut
piece and popped over the top of the band and light brown hemp twine.
And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I added more of my favorite Doodlebug Sprinkles to the flower centers.
For the next three months we’re proud to welcome Jeanne Streiff as our Guest Designer! Jeanne hails from the great state of Texas where she lives with her husband. She is the mother to four grown boys and now has two beautiful grandchildren.
Jeanne has dabbled in many crafts throughout the years, but settled into papercrafting several years ago and hasn’t looked back! Jeanne will be inspiring us with sneak peeks on her blog: Inky Paws this week. Stay tuned here on the TE Blog throughout the month to catch more glimpses of Jeanne’s wonderful work!
Make sure you check out how the rest of the Baker’s Dozen used the new
