Key Ingredients Showcase: Amy Crockett
Hey there! I hope you’re feeling inspired from our blog hop yesterday using our April Stamp of the Month and coordinating Key Ingredients kit! Today we’ve challenged one of our Key Ingredients design team members, Amy Crockett, to show you what she created with all of her supplies from this month’s kit! Get ready to have a warm, cuddly feeling when you see her inspiring projects!
Amy’s Notes: I am very excited to share my projects with you this month on the Taylored Expressions blog. I created a gift set with a card, tag, and box to give to a neighbor who recently had a baby. The April Stamp of the Month, Made with Love, and the coordinating Key Ingredients kit helped me to make the perfect handmade packaging and card for my handcrafted gift.
Amy’s Notes: I created this A2 sized card with the papers and cardstock in the April Key Ingredients kit. I stamped the sentiment with the Made with Love stamp set and then added some buttons that I cut with the Stitched with Love coordinating dies. I added some glossy accents to the buttons for a little more dimension and shine. To finish off the card, I used my sewing machine to zig-zag stitch around the edges.
Amy’s Notes: For the tag, I used the Stitched with Love dies to cut out the sewing machine and the sentiment is from the Made with Love stamp set. I layered these on papers and cardstock that I cut from the Label Stacklets 3 dies. I then added it to my package that contains a lovely little baby afghan that I crocheted for the new baby. Here’s a look at the afghan that’s inside:
Amy’s Notes: The box below is a simple one that I created from the cardstock in the kit. I simply cut a 7×7 inch card base and scored in on each side about 2 inches. I then cut on two of the score lines on two sides to where the score lines meet (which makes two long sides with flaps and two shorter sides when the box is folded up). I then folded and adhered the flaps to the insides of the shorter sides to make a box. For the lid, I just made a smaller version from 5 1/8 x 5 1/8 inch cardstock. I then scored in about 1 inch on each side and assembled it the way I did the box. I also added some scalloped cardstock that I cut with the Medium Scallop die and a strip of patterned paper. To finish off the box, I cut and assembled flowers from the Bloom Where You’re Planted dies and added rhinestones centers to them from the Key Ingredients kit. To finish it off, I tied it all up with a bit of bakers twine.
I love how you can create all kinds of projects with the Key Ingredients kits and the Stamp of the Month. My favorite is to make cards, but I love being able to pull together something like this as a gift because it all coordinates so well together.
