Guest Designer: Jeanne Streiff Day 1
If you joined us for our April Release then you likely saw the announcement that Jeanne Streiff is joining us for the next three months as Taylored Expressions’ Guest Designer. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase the designs of this talented Texas-native! Let’s get to know a little more about Jeanne!
As I mentioned above, Jeanne makes her home in Texas with her husband of almost 30 years. Together they share four grown sons and two beautiful grandchildren. Jeanne’s journey into papercrafting began when she found her way to Splitcoaststampers in 2005. Since then she has worked with many companies as a designer, team coordinator, and social media coordinator. You’ll also find her work regularly featured in CardMaker Magazine. When Jeanne isn’t in her craft room you’ll find her watching movies (she loves a good campy monster movie) or hanging out with the dog or chickens.
Now that we’ve learned a little more about Jeanne, let’s check out the beautiful inspiration she has to share:
Jeanne’s Notes: I made a white card (scored and folded) with Choice Snow White cardstock and then die cut just below the fold with a Banner Stacklets 2 die. I die cut another layer with Choice Kraft cardstock the same size as my card and layered it on my card. I cut the next layer (one size smaller) from Choice Snow White cardstock and popped it up with foam tape.
Jeanne’s Notes: I stamped the easel from When Your Heart Speaks on with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Choice Snow White cardstock twice. I colored one of the images with markers and die cut (one size smaller than my white layer) with Banner Stacklets 2. I stamped the flower from Sketched Blooms and colored with markers. I cut the canvas shape out and layered it onto the colored easel.I made a little tag and attached it to my card and made a little embellishment with Black/White Baker’s twine and a button. I finished up by adding a doodled border with a fine black pen.
