Guest Blogger: Deck the Halls with Kim Singdahlsen
Hey there, crafty friends! It’s Day 2 with Guest Blogger, designer Kim Singdahlsen! She is having so much fun designing with us that she created three darling Christmas cards for us today using our Deck the Halls stamp set. Check them out below…
Kim’s Notes: I love the details on each Taylored Expressions
stamp. One of my favorite things to do with a versatile stamp set is to
create different types of cards, from clean and simple to “dressed up.”
Today I am using Deck the Halls with a little help from Share the Light.
You have to keep in mind
that my style is clean, so my version of “dressed up” is still quite
simple! The bunny in the forest card uses 2 stamp sets and 5 stamps,
with large die cut trees, heat embossing and glitter.
A “dressed down” step from my first card is the deer sharing the light which only uses 2 stamps, 2 dies, an
embossing folder and a strip of Gingerbread Lane patterned paper.
Kim’s Notes: The “cleanest”
card is the spirited penguin. I think it is as charming as the first
card yet it only uses two stamps and a snowflake!
Thank you so much, Kim, for showing us how to take a stamp set from simple to dressy! Kim will be joining us again next week, but in the meantime, you can find more of Kim’s design work on her blog, Joyful Creations with Kim.
