Blog Design Team: Shine Bright!
Good day to you, crafty friends! It’s Thanksgiving week for us here in the U.S., so we’re prepping for family and full stomachs come Thursday. Today we have our friend from across the pond, Blog Team designer Caryn Davies, who is in full Christmas mode with this sweet and pretty card!
Caryn’s Notes: I just love the new Sweater Weather cutting plate released by Taylored
Expressions for the holidays – I just can’t seem to put it down! (If you missed Caryn’s previous post about this cutting plate, you can catch it HERE.)
Caryn’s Notes: Today I
have a fun festive card featuring this super-versatile cutting plate
and paired it with the fun Deck The Halls stamp set. I started with a white A2 card base
and die-cut the cutting plate from white cardstock.
Caryn’s Tip: For a tone-on-tone look for the
background that won’t detract from the focal image, leave all the die-cut pieces intact.
Caryn’s Notes: I stamped the image from Deck The Halls onto white card
and then die cut it using the Banner Stacklets die set. I colored the
design with Copics and for a bit of twinkle added some gold shimmer and glossy accents to the little
fairy lights.
Caryn’s Notes: I wrapped a bit of gold thread around the top of the
banner before adhering to the card from with foam tape.
Thanks so much, Caryn, for sharing your sweet card with us. It’s nice to take a moment from the rush of getting ready for a big holiday just to enjoy something pretty and inspiring! You can see more of Caryn’s work on her blog, Glitter Me Silly.
