Blog Design Team: Holiday Cheer
Happy Saturday! We hope your weekends are filled with holiday cheer! Today, Amy Kolling is sharing a fun card that is just perfect for this time of year.
Amy’s Notes: It is no secret that I love snowflakes,
especially glittery ones! I die-cut four snowflakes using the Make a Snowflake
dies, added prisma glitter, and layered them together with glue dots.
Amy’s Notes: I
used the red polka dot pattern paper from the Gingerbread Lane 6×6 Patterned Paper Pack to make a
card topper. It was die-cut using the Cloud Border die. Here you can
see how I aligned my die onto the polka dot paper and I positioned it
“just off” the edge of my cutting plate. When I started to die-cut the
Cloud Border die, I only die-cut until the “edge” was die-cut. This
allowed me to have a card topper larger than what the die cuts.
Selective die-cutting!
Amy’s Notes: This panel was adhered using foam adhesive to a
top-folded white card. My sentiment from Shiny & Bright was
stamped in black ink to allow for one of the layered snowflakes to be
positioned to it’s right. Final touch: I always like to add some
sequins for just a little extra bling!
Amy’s Notes: Thanks so much for sharing a part of
your holiday season with me on the TE blog!
Thanks so much, Amy, for giving us such a great tip for ‘selective die-cutting!’ You can catch more of Amy’s design work on her blog, Stamp-n-Paradise. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
