Blog Design Team: Bookmark This!
Hey there, crafty friends! We had a terrific Release Week last week and we hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekends. Now, it’s back to work and school for everyone! Today Blog Design Team member, Sharon Harnist has created the perfect project for students, teachers, and book lovers alike! Check it out below…
Now let’s hear from Sharon about her project…
It’s that time of year again! Kids are going back to school and thankfully,
I have two girls who love to read, so they can always use some bookmarks. Made
with love from Mom makes them extra special!
Fortunately, Taylored Expressions has this great Mark Your Spot
Bookmark die which coordinates with the Mark
Your Spot stamp set, and I threw in this cutie-pie Mischief
Maker Back to School with her big Apple Stacklets
die into the mix!
Bookmark #1 — Little Mischief Maker was stamped with
Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the bookmark, die cut from white
cardstock, and colored with the Copic markers pictured
below.
The apple was die cut from Watermelon Premium Cardstock, the
stem from Toffee Premium Cardstock, and the leaf from
Granny Smith Premium Cardstock. The “For my Teacher” sentiment
from the Mischief Maker stamp set was stamped onto the apple (which would make a
great teacher gift!). If making this bookmark for someone else, there are two
other great sentiments in this stamp set that would work great instead! Red/white Baker’s Twine was tied through the top hole.
Bookmark #2 uses one of my very favorite Dr. Suess quotes
from the Mark Your Spot stamp set. I stamped it with
Hero Arts Pool-Navy Ombre ink at the top of the bookmark.
Below, I stamped the coordinating hot air balloon and winding road with
Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then used some of the
Copic markers pictured above to color them. Swimming
Pool Baker’s twine tied at the top finishes it off.
Thanks so much for joining me today! ~ Sharon
