Blog Design Team: A February Filled with LOVE
Hey there, crafty friends! Today Blog Design Team member Sharon Harnist is continuing with her darling calendar pages, this time sharing February! Check out how she created this sweet page…
Now let’s hear from Sharon about her project…
I hope you all enjoyed my January calendar. (If you missed it, you can check it out HERE.) I am loving making them again,
so I hope you don’t mind another! Keep in mind – if calendars are just not your
thing, you can also use the same elements and general layout to create a
Valentine’s Day or February birthday card. Or, use the layout for a scrapbook
page, substituting the calendar for your photo(s)!The sweet Calendar Critters puppy was stamped with
Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers T2, T3, T5, T10, RV55,
and R46. Then he was die-cut with his coordinating Calendar
Critters Die and popped up on foam tape inside the XOXO Picture
Perfect – Valentine frame (Tip: I turned the frame upside down, cut off the
first “O” and adhered it to the end of the row).Next, these fun Skinny Mini Valentine Borders were die–cut
from Lollipop, Cherry Pop, and Oreo cardstock
and adhered underneath and on top of the XOXO frame. The heart banner die
creates perfectly sized heart “confetti” for the puppy – I scattered some Oreo and
Cherry Pop hearts and gave them, along with puppy’s nose, eyes and tongue, a
coating of Clear Wink of Stella glitter. The February 2016 6×6 Calendar Download was printed onto
white cardstock, trimmed, and adhered to a 6” x 6” Oreo
cardstock base. To finish the calendar, an additional heart banner was cut from
Cherry Pop cardstock and added to the bottom. Wishing you all a successful end to January and a happy start to
February!
