Blog Design Team: Layered Loveliness
Happy, happy, joy, joy, crafty friends! We hope you are having a lovely week. If not, you’ll enjoy today’s card from Blog Design Team member Isha Gupta because it’s, well, lovely!
And now, here’s Isha to tell us all about her project…
I love Roses, I have so many different varieties of them in my garden and
most of them have a wonderful fragrance. So, when this beautiful stamp was released,
I had to get it!I made my card using the Simply Stamped – Roses stamps and coordinating dies. Layered
stamping is so much on trend these days and this stamp set gives such
wonderful results! Sometimes I love creating layers on my card, so I used
the Leafy Branch Die and used it to die-cut a piece of vellum to place behind the roses. To start, I created a wash of yellow using distress ink on
watercolor paper. Once it was slightly dry, I flicked some ink to create
tiny splatters. I then applied some embossing paste through a stencil
and let it dry. Meanwhile, I stamped the roses and the leaves, then die-cut
them. Once the
embossing paste was dry, I assembled everything together and to finish
the card, I used some pretty sequins from the Sweetheart mix.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful card with us today, Isha! You can find more of Isha’s fabulous work on her blog, New Ideas. Have a joyful day!
