Blog Design Team: Fantastic Mr. Fox!
TGIF, crafty friends! Are you ready for the weekend? We hope you’ll be getting crafty, and to kick things off, Blog Design Team member Cindy Lawrence has created a card using our Forest Friends that make you crafty like a fox…
And now, here’s Cindy to tell us all about her project…
As soon as I saw the Forest Friends set in last month’s release, I
knew I just HAD to have it. I mean, seriously people, aren’t those
just the cutest little critters and sayings ever?! You can make all sorts of fun little scenes with them! One of the dies that works so well with the Forest Friends set is the Seasonal Trees die. I really love how detailed the die is.
I stamped the sweet little fox image on Copic-friendly cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored it in with Copic markers, and die-cut it with the coordinating Forest Friends Die set.
The sentiment was stamped in Memento Gray Flannel ink and die-cut using the Banner Stacklets 1
die set. I added a bit of striped twine and a trio of enamel dots to
dress it up a bit. I colored the enamel dots with my Copic Airbrush
System and YR27 Copic marker. The final touch to finish off the
details and add balance to my card is a sweet little flag and button
element, created with the Banner Stacklets 1 die set and a coordinating button.I
do like to dress up the inside of my cards as well. I always keep it
very simple, but enough to make it special. This time I added a couple
of strips of patterned paper across the top, and a sweet little fox in
the bottom corner.
Thank you for sharing this super foxy card, Cindy! You can find more of Cindy’s fabulous work on her blog, The Creative Closet. Have a joyful day!
