Blog Design Team: Tweet, tweet, it’s almost Spring!
Oh happy day, crafty friends! Does it look like Spring outside for you yet? Only five more days until the first official day, and Blog Design Team member Sharon Harnist has created a lovely card to welcome in this wonderful season. Check it out…
And now here is Sharon to tell you all about her project…
Hello TE fans! It is Spring Break in my part of the country and the weather has definitely been beautiful, with trees and flowers budding out everywhere, and birds singing in the trees. These things were my inspiration for today’s card! After die-cutting the pretty Leafy Vine Cutting Plate from Mint Julep Cardstock, I adhered it to a Sugar Cube card base. Next, I die cut the Welcome Spring Banner and Birds from Sugar Cube Cardstock. The banner was colored with these Copic markers:
Next, I cut a piece of vellum the same size as the Leafy Vine die-cut and placed it over the die-cut in order to see where the banner and birds should be placed. The banner was adhered with a liquid glue pen and the birds with mini glue dots.
Finally, I used mini glue dots on the back side of the vellum, behind each of the birds and banner, to adhere the vellum panel in place over the Leafy Vine.
I hope you are welcoming Spring into your part of the country!
Thank you, Sharon, for sharing this beautiful card with us! You can find more of her lovely work on her blog, PaperFections. Have a joyful day!
