Blog Design Team: ‘Just Because’ is sometimes the best reason!
Happy Tuesday, friends! We hope you are having a good and creative week. Sometimes, our favorite cards to create are ones that don’t have a reason — cards to be sent ‘just because.’ So, today we are delighted to share with you a card from Blog Design Team member Isha Gupta, because it’s darling and maybe it will get you in the mood to venture into your craft space today!
And now, here’s Isha to tell us all about her project…
Now it’s almost end of March and I love spring as it brings flowers and I love flowers. So all those tiny shoots peeking through the soil and those tiny flowers already blooming with their heads up and making everyone happy were the inspiration behind this card.
I used 3 different die sets to create this card. It’s so fun to mix and match! I die-cut the tree from Build a Scene – Trees, made the house from Little Bits Birdhouse and the florals are from Mini Bloomers.
I used watercolor paper to die-cut them and colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Once dry, I layered the house with one more die-cut and the roof with 2 die-cuts. I shaped the flowers a bit to give them some dimension.
Then I cut my watercolor mat layer, added some watercolor to create the sky feel and adhered all the elements. Finally, some glossy accents to the heart and lower centers to finish the card. Thanks for dropping by!
Thank you for sharing such a pretty card with us today, Isha! You can find more of Isha’s fabulous work on her blog, New Ideas. Have a joyful day!
