Blog Design Team: Rosy Posey Friend
Hey there, crafty friends! CHow about a bouquet of posies to brighten your day? We may not be able to deliver fresh flowers to you, but we’ve got something just as good. Today, Blog Design Team member Cindy Lawrence has created a gorgeous bouquet of blooms that will be a definite pick-me-up! Check it out…
And now, here’s Cindy to tell us all about her project…
Some of my very favorite things to color are flowers, and these gorgeous blooms from the Rosy Posey stamp set couldn’t be any more fun to color! Oh, and if you’d really rather not color them (*gasp), there are solid stamps that coordinate with the outline rose stamps as well.
I stamped the roses and leaves with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored them with a sweet selection of Copic Markers. I then die-cut them with the Rosy Posy Dies.
I created a subtle, yet beautiful background with the stunning Rosy Posy Embossing Folder. I just love how it coordinates with the stamp set so perfectly. So beautiful!
The sentiment was stamped in Memento Elderberry ink, die-cut with a Banner Stacklets 1 die, and air-brushed with my Copic Airbrush System. I tied a lilac and white twine bow around the end of the sentiment banner for balance & interest. A scattering of sequins finish off the details.
Inside my card, I added a strip of designer paper, a left-over strip of Sugar Cube cardstock from the front of the card using the Rosy Posey Embossing Folder, and a sweetly-stamped swag of blooms to balance it out.
Thank you for sharing this super sweet card with us today, Cindy! You can find more of Cindy’s fabulous work on her blog, The Creative Closet. Have a joyful day!
