Blog Design Team: A TON of FUN!
Happy, happy Friday, crafty friends! Are you SO ready for the weekend? Let’s head on into it with a terrific project today from Blog Design Team member Isha Gupta, who has created a darling thank you card that is a TON of fun! Check it out…
And now, here’s Isha to tell us all about her project…
Hello TE fans! Today I have a fun and adorable card to share with you. Now, how I got the inspiration for it is interesting: My younger daughter is really very helpful since my elder daughter keeps busy with studies, and she often comes to me to say: Shall I help you mommy? (Cute isn’t she?)
I decided to just surprise her with a card. When my daughter was small she would always cling to me like a monkey, so I used to call her my ‘cutie little monkey.’ Now, she is fan of elephants! So, the Hippo Birdy stamp set is as perfect for her as it is cute!I used soft colors, which totally relates to her. I started by sponging some inks onto a piece of white cardstock large enough to accommodate the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate die. I adhered the main frame using 3D foam. Then for the clouds, I applied some ink to vellum.
I stamped and colored in the images, die-cut them, and adhered to the card. Finally, I stamped the sentiment using Black StazOn ink (which works really well on vellum!)Hope this inspires you to create cards for your kids, keeping their personality in mind to give it at extra special feel!
We are sure your daughter will LOVE this card, Isha! What a great idea to thank your kids with a card! You can find more of Isha’s fabulous work on her blog, New Ideas. Have a joyful weekend!
