Holiday Gift Giving Week: Ho! Ho! Ho!
Happy Monday, crafty friends! Are you recovered from stuffing yourselves from Turkey Day? Yikes, they needed to wheel us away from the table! We had a lovely time celebrating with family and friends and we hope you did, too. Now that Thanksgiving is over, we are giving some serious thought to the upcoming winter holidays. What could be a better gift than something handmade? This week, we’re turning to our talented Creative Team to share some inspiration for a handmade holiday! First up is Shannon White — she’s the hostess with the mostess and the co-worker they all clamor for! Check out her two adorable gift projects…
A Note from Shannon: I have always created my own bottle tags each holiday season for gifts for friends and neighbors and a few of my hubby’s best co-workers too. So When TE came out with their Bottled Up die a couple of Christmas’s ago, I was jumping for J-O-Y! I always have lots of fun getting creative and coming up with new designs each year to top off Champagne and Wine gifts and this year was no exception, with my In & Out Christmas ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’ Bottle Tags.
I created my Bottled Up tag bases with TE’s Toffee and Cherry Pop Premium Cardstocks and pulled out TE’s Sack It To You dies for Santa’s darling belts and buttons. I added a touch of glossy accents too and die-cut the buckles from glitter paper from my stash. The trim was created with a bit of Marshmallow Taylored Felt and TE’s Scalloped Border Die. And to finish them all up, I stamped them with a TE’s In & Out Christmas sentiment! Just love how these turned out, so fun and festive and quick and easy too!
Next, Shannon created some super fun treats for her co-workers. You will wish you worked with her after you see them!
A Note from Shannon: I have always LOVED all of TE’s Treat Topper Dies because they are just so darned versatile and super cute, too! Trust me–they’re not just for topping cupcakes–you can use them on cards, tags and fun little treat holders like these I whipped up for my co-workers this year.
I started off by die cutting all my TE’s Christmas Treat Toppers from TE’s Granny Smith and Cherry Pop Premium Cardstocks. These I adhered to TE’s Totally Tag die cuts created with coordinating cardstocks. I popped them up with a bit of foam tape to add a bit of dimension. The treat holder bases were created with the help of TE’s Tuck and Close Notecard die, embossed with TE’s Winter Flurries Embossing Folder and topped with a bit of patterned paper from TE’s Playful Patterns Holiday 6×6 paper pack.
Then all that was left to do was to add my treats! Yay! Well, for this year’s treats, I chose yummy Ghirardelli squares, each secured with a glue dot so they stay put till they are ready to be opened and enjoyed!
Thank you so much, Shannon, for kicking of our Holiday Gift Giving Week in scrumptious style! Visit Shannon on her blog, Enchanted Ladybug Creations for more of her work! Tune in tomorrow for more gift giving inspiration! Have a joyful day!
