Snow Day!
Hey there, crafty friends! December is half over already, but winter is just getting started! Do you have snow yet? It’s brrrrr! out here in Iowa and we’re already counting down the days until Spring. To get us through, we’ve just got to get inky and what better way than with two darling cards from our Creative Team? Designers Shelly Mercado and Charmaine Ikach’s projects are the perfect remedy for the winter blues. Check them out!
A Note from Shelly…
“Skating by With a Holiday Hi” is such a cute sentiment! I love this set and have found myself reaching for it over and over. For my card, I used a few older goodies to complete my winter scene. Build a Scene Central Park is my favorite to use for pond scenes. I love that the Build a Scene Calendar 5×7 die is so versatile and I incorporated it into my scene by using it for the snow hills. (*tip* Heat-embossing your sentiment in white onto a dark background really makes it pop.)
A Note from Charmaine…
The Ready, Set, Snow set was originally designed to coordinate with a snow globe, but I think the images can stand alone on a card or tag, or wherever else you’d like to use them! I created a little winter scene with some Blue Corn cardstock for the “sky” and Dijon for the “moon”. The snow was created with the Build a Scene – Rolling Hills die set. The scene was made ‘snowy’ with some Build a Scene Christmas 6×6 Paper as well as some Snow Flurries Sequins!
Thank you, Shelly and Charmaine, for sharing with us! Be sure to visit their blogs by clicking on their names for more of their creative projects. Have a joyful (and warm) day!
