Don’t Forget the Thank You Cards!
Did Santa visit your house this year? We hope you had a wonderful and merry Christmas, crafty friends! Now that the gifts have been unwrapped, don’t forget to send a little note of thanks to all those generous people who thought of you this year! It’s also the perfect excuse to get inky and create something fun. To get you started, we’re sharing a card by Creative Team member Jen Shults. It’s got a little bit of everything — die-cutting, stamping, inking…and rainbows! What more could you ask for? Check it out…
A Note from Jen on her card…
To start the background, I die-cut the Spotted Cutting plate out of scrap cardstock and using it as a stencil to sponge Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber and Abandoned Coral Distress Ink onto a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock. I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment on the bottom section of the background panel and attached it to a Watermelon cardstock cardbase.
Then I die-cut three flowers using Bloomers 1 and Bloomers 2 flower dies. The leaves were cut using the Twiggy Branch die from Mint Julep cardstock. I sponged the edge of the leaves with a little Cracked Pistachio for depth. I also added a few highlights with a white gel pen. I assembled the flowers with liquid adhesive and foam tape and finished the card off with a few Doodlebug Glitter Sprinkles in Lily White.
Thanks, Jen, for sharing with us! Super cute, super bright, and super grateful — we hope you’ll get inky and make some thank you cards this week! Visit Jen’s blog, Deconstructing Jen, for more of her work. Have a joyful Tuesday!
