Cards for Big Guys & Little Guys Week: For the All Star
Hey there, crafty friends! We hope you are having a creative week. If you are just joining us, we’ve been showing off our masculine side with cards for big boys and little boys all week long. Today, Creative Team member Charmaine Ikach is sharing a super fun card for your favorite little football star. Simple to create, this no-fuss, no frills card is fast and fresh. Check it out…
A Note from Charmaine about her card…
Now that my son is getting a little older, I’m finding that I need more and more boy cards. Every time he gets invited to a birthday party, I find that I never have the perfect card for a little boy. All Star Accents, along with the Sports Balls die set are a perfect combination for the sports fans in your life! (It works for little girls who play sports too, but it’s perfect for me with my shortage of boy cards!)
I used the Share Joy Sketch Challenge featured in this week’s TE Newsletter for my card. (If you haven’t play along with the challenge, you definitely should give it a try!) I started by die-cutting the football and helmet out of Peapod, Earl Grey, Chocolate Truffle and Sugar Cube cardstocks.
I stamped the star from the stamp set in Lemon Meringue ink and cut it out. I arranged the images on the Blue Corn circle I die-cut using the Stitched Circle Stacklets and used foam tape on the helmet to add some dimension. The tag was die cut using Banner Stacklets 3. The sentiment was stamped in Oreo ink and cut into a banner and added to the card. I can think of a lot of little boys who would love a card like this for their birthday!
We can, too, Charmaine! Thanks for sharing this awesome card with us! Come back tomorrow for one more from Charmaine for Big Guys, Little Guys Week!
