WHO Wouldn’t Love This?
Happy first day of June, crafty friends! Can you believe that 2017 is just zooming by? If you snooze, you might miss it. But if you are as cute as the little owl I spotted on this project from designer Jean Manis, all will be forgiven! It’s the perfect project to swing us from Spring into the Summer season, which will be here in a few short weeks!
A Note from Jean…
Hello! Today, I’m sharing a spring-themed love card (appropriate for a variety of recipients) created with a combination of Taylored Expressions stamps and dies.
I cut the Shade Tree Cutting Plate from Toffee cardstock and trimmed it to fit inside the frame, which I cut with a die in the Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 set. I placed the Little Bits – Owl in the tree, after adding leaves cut with On a Limb – Leaves from two shades of green cardstock. I don’t typically use a lot of purple in my paper crafting, but I really like how the purple goes with the green.
To ground the scene, I added a strip of grass cut with the Grass Border die. The sentiment is from the Hoot Hoot Hooray stamp & die combo.
I just love how this card is designed! It looks like it took forever to create, but by die-cutting all her elements, Jean was able to assemble this card in a jiffy! Thank you, Jean, for sharing with us!
Now, be sure to join me on Monday as we kick off our June Release of new products! I’ll be sharing sneak peeks, revealing products, and giving away some fab prizes!
