A Ton of Thanks!
Happy Friday, crafty friends! Today I have a really cute card to share with you. It comes to us from Charmaine Ikach and there is just something about it that just makes me super happy. It could be the bright colors (I love teal and orange together) or it might be that big, paper pieced elephant! Or, it might be because I know Charmaine created this card with her elephant-loving daughter in mind. Check it out…
Notes from Charmaine…
My daughter LOVES elephants! I mean, LOVES elephants. Anytime there is elephant anything, anywhere, she has to have it! When I was looking through my stamp set to see what I wanted to create with, I came across this adorable Hippo Birdy set! Every image in this set is adorable, but this elephant is especially cute! I don’t know about you, but I’m always in need of thank you cards, so I thought this would make an sweet thank you card. I used some papers from the Build a Scene 6×6 Paper Pack. The elephant was stamped onto Cookie Monster cardstock and then die cut using the Hippo Birdy Die Set. I stamped the elephant once onto the Cookie Monster cardstock and once onto the patterned paper and just cut out the ear and mounted it with foam tape on top of the Cookie Monster elephant. The sentiment was stamped and embossed in Sugar Cube ink onto Oreo cardstock. The clouds were stamped onto Sugar Cube cardstock and hand cut. This ended up being a very simple card, but I love it. I’m sure it will make the recipient smile. . .if my daughter doesn’t steal it first!
I don’t know, Charmaine, I’m pretty sure this one is going into your daughter’s collection! Thanks for sharing with us! You can find Charmaine’s supply list in the TE Gallery HERE.
Have a joyful weekend!
