Tricks & Treats Week: It’s Alive (and Really Cute)!
Boo to you, crafty friends! Are you going to be throwing a Halloween extravaganza? Or, do you just love to decorate for this fun holiday? Either way, today I’m sharing an adorable project from Shannon White that would do Dr. Frankenstein proud. Check it out…
Notes from Shannon about her project…
I don’t know about you all, but I love to find fun, different ways to use my die sets. This time using TE’s Sack it Frankenstein dies, I mixed the pieces up a little with some other dies in my stash to create this fun tall and skinny Frankenstein’s monster project that can be used as a centerpiece or a Halloween decoration! I chose Peapod Cardstock and shaded it with Peapod ink as well to give Frankie a little extra dimension.
The rest of him was created with the help of Oreo, Sugar Cube cardstock, and Playful Patterns Haunted 6×6 Paper Pack as well. I used some glitter cardstock to create the bolts, but you could also use TE Foil Cardstock or Metallic Neutrals. Now, to make this monster extra tall, I used Tag Stacklets 1 to create the head, flipping it upside down to make a “chin.” (Hint: to add extra dimension, sponge on some Peapod ink along the edges.) Simply adhere the finished head to a standard card base that will make a natural stand!
And to finish him all up, I just added a cute spider from TE’s Little Bits Halloween Scene die set and giving a “Boo” shout out with the help of TE’s Little Bits Let’s Talk Bubble 1 die and Let’s Talk sentiment stamp. Happy Halloween!
Thanks for sharing this clever, cute way to use your dies, Shannon! I hope y’all have plans to get crafty this weekend. Have a joyful day!
