December Sneak Peeks Day 1: Love Tracks & Bobble Heads
Hey there, crafty friends! Can you believe December is upon us!? I know lots of us are busy trimming the tree, baking Christmas cookies, listening to holiday tunes, and binge-watching Christmas movies so it may seem like a stretch to think about Valentine’s Day, but that’s what we’ll be doing here on the TE Blog this week! It’s been fun to me to start thinking about classroom and coworker cards & treats and I’m so excited to share some of our newest products with you!
There are several directions you can go with Valentine’s Day, but my favorite is ‘cutesy’ (which probably is not a big surprise)! Today we’ll be featuring cute new stamps and dies along with clever ways to include interactive elements in your cards. But first, our popular double points deal is back for the December Release! Check out our cool All Tucked In box which is perfect for Valentine treats and more. Plus, earn double points when you purchase this item, but only for a limited time!
If you’re not a Crafty Points member yet, it’s free and easy to join. Just create an account at the TE webstore and you’re automatically enrolled to begin earning crafty points with every purchase. What are crafty points? Essentially you get a point for every dollar you spend and you can apply those points to dollars off your future orders!
Stay tuned for more samples using the All Tucked In box starting tomorrow, but in the meantime check out how Kim decorated her cute little boxes!
For today’s sneak peeks I’m going to start off with a track card! I haven’t always been into slider and spinner cards, but I’ve picked them up again within the last six months and have really enjoyed finding ways to create moveable elements using existing stamps and dies and also creating new stamps and dies with this purpose in mind. So here’s a look at the track card I created using the new On the Right Track – Heart & One in a Buzzillion stamp and die set:
All of the images in this stamp set were included because they ‘move’. These work with the new heart-shaped track or with our previously released Build A Scene & Basic On the Right Track die sets. This adorable bug-eyed bee spins around within the heart-shaped track on my card. Spinner and slider cards aren’t the easiest to explain in writing so I created this video to share a bit more about our On the Right Track collection and show how I put this card together.
I didn’t want to be done playing with this set so I also decided to try a pull-tab card using one of the straight tracks in our original On the Right Track – Basics set of dies:
It had been a long time since I created one of these cards and I found this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers helpful to refresh my memory. The little elephant travels up to the clouds as you pull the “Lift Up” cloud. The “Sorry I missed your birthday” sentiment is from our previously released Wild About You set and I hate to admit it, but it comes in handy quite often for me. Actually, I don’t really forget about birthdays, I just forget to send the card so that it arrives on or before the said birthday. *grin*
Did you notice the cute heart flowers at the bottom of each of these cards? That’s one more new product that I used on both of these cards; Little Bits – Hearts in combination with the previously released Little Bits – Flowers & Stems. It will be nice to have one set of dies with several different sized hearts. It’s one of those basics that I know I’ll use often! And you’ll also be seeing a new paper collection throughout this week of sneak peeks. Check out the bright colors and fun patterns in the Playful Patterns – Valentine 6×6 Paper Pack:
In addition to the interactive track elements, we also have new products for creating an interactive element with wobble springs using the super cute critters in the You Have My Heart set:
The head and body were designed as separate images so that the head could be die cut and popped up onto a wobble spring creating a bobblehead character! Check out the adorable card that Jean created using the owl:
Next up on today’s product list is an addition to our popular collection of “If _____ Could Talk” stamp and die combos. Here’s Cupid cat and his funny faces:
One of my favorite new products with this release is our new Luv-a-Doodle Background and the coordinating Valentine sentiment. Both Gayatri and Kim used these two products in unique ways and I’m excited to have some more time to play with these fun stamps too!
Did you notice Kim’s coordinating envelope? We’re continuing our series of adorable envelope decor sets with this month’s Love Mail addition. With all of these cute options, I may never be able to send a ‘naked’ envelope again!
And last, but not least, we have an awesome must-have that coordinates with our previously released Heart Stacklets. These are the Pierced Heart Stacklets and you can use them in combination with the Heart Stacklets to create the holes for hand-stitching a masterpiece like Noriko did on this card:
Or you can use them independently to create an amazing piece of string art like Jean did on this clean and simple masterpiece:
