Make It Friday: Anthropomorphic Valentines!
TGIF, crafty friends! It’s time for another edition of Make It Friday! But first, I have a $5 word for you today: anthropomorphic (adjective an·thro·po·mor·phic \ ˌan(t)-thrə-pə-ˈmȯr-fik \). It’s one of my favorites. If it’s new to you, in a nutshell, something that is anthropomophic has human characteristics. You’ve seen this a lot, though you may not have been aware, in things like team mascots, cartoon characters, etc., and you’ll see it in a lot of stamped images, too! And I’ve got some anthropomorphic Valentines for you, like on this sweet card from Keia Shipp-Smith that’s today’s #MakeThisProject. Keia used our If Hearts Could Talk stamp & die combo and if you click on the image below, you’ll find step-by-step instructions and a handy shopping list to re-create this project!
Here are a few more examples of “anthropomorphic” Valentines! These beauties both use products we recently released for our big Valentine’s Day Release. Check them out!
Above, Jen used our Clearly Planned Love Struck stamp set on her super cute card. I love the layout of this card and the twine bow is the perfect handmade touch.
Below, you can’t get more anthropomorphic than giving ‘life’ to food items! Jean Manis’ adorable and punny card uses our new Matchy Matchy Foodie Friends and I just love the use of yellow on a Valentine’s Day card. It’s so unexpected, but it’s such a joyful color.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful and creative weekend! Come back next week as I share an awesome week of fun getting to know one of our team members. I can’t wait!
