Staff Selections: Meet Meredith!
Hey there, crafty friends! Can you believe that January is almost over? Later this week, we’ll be sneak peeking projects from our first Release of new products of the year (woo-hoo!) Our Creative Team has been working like crazy and they are gonna knock your socks off. In the meantime, we are going to have so much fun this week! You may not know this, but Taylored Expressions is a small, family-owned company and our staff is pretty much the hardest-working around. I thought I’d take some time throughout the year to introduce you to all our amazing staff who work behind the scenes to bring you crafty joy. Some are seasoned crafters and others are dabblers, but every one of them loves what they do. Many of you have expressed excitement when you receive your orders quickly and accurately, so I thought I’d kick things off with our awesome queen of shipping, Meredith!
Meredith is our shipping manager and the wonderful person who picks and packs all of the orders that come in on a daily basis. I asked Meredith what she loves best about working at TE, and here’s what she had to say:
I love my job because I like seeing what products people are excited about and getting them out in a timely manner. When I order something online I want it as soon as possible so I try to process orders as quickly as they come in.
Meredith is a busy mom of triplets (2 boys & a girl) and another girl. She’s started thinking about the triplets’ upcoming 8th birthdays. Meredith is a novice crafter and would like some birthday ideas that would be simple enough for her to replicate. Meredith and the kids love bright colors! With the two boys and girl, she’s looking for gender-neutral ideas, too.
Here’s Meredith and her beautiful family:
Being a novice, Meredith doesn’t own a whole lot of products, but she knows that dies can be a big time-saver. She told us she has our Block Party – Party and Tagging Along dies in her modest stash, so we challenged our Creative Team to help inspire her to create invitations, thank you cards, and favor sacks for the big day using these popular products. Today, I’m sharing ideas from Gayatri Murali and Melody Rupple!
Kiddos love critters, so both Gayatri and Melody chose to use them on their projects! Gayatri used our Monkey Business stamp and die combo to create her cute little monkeys for her invitations. I love how she used the Block Party Die to create a little window for one of the monkeys to peek through.
With our RSVP stamp, Gayatri turned this card into a perfect invite. And, with yellow as her main color, she’s got the gender-neutral aspect covered!
Next up, Melody created a coordinating card and gift sack with our Peek-a-Boo stamp set. The little dino is darling and again, here’s a terrific choice of colors.
Using our Number Balloons, Melody personalized her project just for Meredith’s triplets. With the sweet, punny sentiment, Meredith can give this to one of her kiddos along with a special treat. This set can easily be turned into an invitation and favor sack by using the same stamps (Eventful and RSVP) that Gaytari used.
Our Tagging Along die set creates darling little treat sacks just waiting to be filled with gifts or party favors. I love Melody’s simple design. With just a bit of bright patterend paper, Melody tied everything together quite nicely.
Yikes! I’m so in love with both these projects — it makes me want to be eight again! Come back tomorrow for more fun from our designers who have tons more ideas for Meredith. Have a joyful day!
