With Mother’s Day just around the corner, our May Mini Release may seem a bit ‘out of order’, but as cardmakers, we’re always thinking ahead to the next occasion – which happens to be Father’s Day! We couldn’t leave ‘dad’ out of the loop so today we’re launching three new products as part of our May Mini Release!

Now, let’s take a peek at a few of the goodies:

The new Dadisms stamp set includes a collection of sentiments designed to pair with the previously released Cap Lock – Dad die. There are a few sentiments in the set that are especially appropriate for my own dad – especially the coffee sentiment!

In the video below I share how I created the coffee ring pattern using a stamp from the previously released Stroke of Genius 2 stamp set and Chocolate Truffle Liquid Watercolor.

Let’s take a closer look at the projects from the video:

With one sheet of watercolored coffee rings (4.25″ x 5.5″), I was able to create two cards (and have some left over for a third!). It’s tough to see in the photo, but I adhered four layers of the die cut “DAD” letters together to give them a bit of lift similar to chipboard.

For both cards I embossed the sentiment onto Oreo cardstock with white embossing powder and added a ‘to-go’ coffee from the Little Bits – Coffee To-Go die set and a Little Bits – Heart – because Dad needs to know he’s loved – even if he doesn’t love mochaccino.
