More Blender Brush Ideas From the Creative Team!
Hey, crafty friends! Did the projects from the Taylored Expressions Creative Team yesterday get you excited and inspired for the blender brush pre-order coming up this week? The pre-orders will go live on Thursday, September 12th. Here’s everything you need to know when you place your pre-order:
- Blender brushes will be arriving in waves over the next several months & it is important that you note the estimated shipping date in the description on the product page when you place your pre-order.
- Please include only the blender brushes and caddy in your order. If you have additional items to order, we ask that you place a separate order for those items.
- When you purchase the blender brushes and caddy together, you will receive the cleaning tool FREE through September 16th or while supplies last.
I have more projects to share with you today from the Creative Team that will add to the already great list of blender brush ideas that were shared in yesterday’s post.
Let’s start off today with this stunning card created by Angelica Conrad. She did some beautiful blending across a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock, used a cutting plate to die cut it out, and then layered it onto a Sugar Cube card base. The sentiment is embossed in white on Oreo cardstock using the Simple Strips Background stamp set and the coordinating Simple Strips die.
Noriko Fairchild embossed the Big Blooms – Hollyhocks stamp onto vellum using white embossing powder and then layered it over a blended background that is stamped with the Twinkle Twinkle Background stamp. Isn’t it pretty how the blended colors show through the vellum piece? Simple Strips makes an appearance again here on Noriko’s card stamped in white on Pineapple cardstock.
Kim Singdahlsen has two cards to share that feature a pretty blended rainbow border. On the card using the Kindness Script die & Plant Kindness stamp set, Kim blended a pastel rainbow strip to use as a border. She blended a brighter, bolder rainbow strip for a border on the card featuring the When it Rains umbrella and Rain or Shine stamp set. Kim used the same colors to blend each rainbow border, just using a lighter or heavier touch as she was blending to achieve the different shades of color!

This next card is created by me (Heather Nichols) and I used the Celebrate Big Balloon Shaker die to create a stencil from Sugar Cube cardstock for my project. I applied color through the stencil using the blender brushes and then stamped stars onto the balloons from the Banner Year set. The sentiment is die cut using the Mini Caps Alpha & #’s dies collection and then I stamped the “celebrate!” underneath from the Banner Year set.
And finally, this beautifully blended project was created by Gayatri Murali. Gayatri blended colors onto a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock and then die cut it out with the Simple Strips die. She attached all of the strips to a piece Sugar Cube cardstock and then added a sentiment from the Simple Strips Background stamp set that is embossed with white on Oreo cardstock and die cut with the Simple Strips die.
Here’s a run down of the blender brush ideas & inspiration that was shared today by the Taylored Expressions Creative Team:
- Die cut a blended piece of cardstock with a cutting plate and layer it onto a Sugar Cube card base for a stunning look
- Layer an image embossed on vellum over a blended background so the shows through
- Use a lighter touch when blending for pastel tones and use a heavier touch when blending for brighter, bolder looks
- Create a stencil using die cuts to apply color through onto your project with the blender brushes
- Die cut a blended piece of cardstock with die cut shapes and arrange them onto your project
If you were keeping track between yesterday and today, that’s 13 blender brush ideas that you can use on your next projects!
