Sneak Peeks Day 1 – Building Blocks & Beautiful Blossoms
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Taylor here today and it’s time to get our sneak peek party started! I hope you’re all staying healthy. As I’m sure many of you would agree, cardmaking has brought me even more joy during these uncertain times. I’ve been stamping more than usual, but more importantly, I’ve been sending a ton of cards and I hope the same is true for you!

Alright, let’s get to the inspiration! For the project I’m sharing today, I used the Doodle Flowers Background stamp, Penned Pretty stamp set, and the new Building Blocks – Her stamp with the coordinating Building Blocks die (I know you are going to love this!).
I started by stamping the background in our Copic-friendly Oreo ink and coloring with Copic markers. I used a simple 2-3 color blend for each of the images. The sentiments in the Penned Pretty stamp set are sized to fit within the oval opening in the background stamp. Note: the Doodle Flowers Background was previously offered as a giveaway at a couple different events, so check your collection before purchasing!
When stamping the “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment, I left extra space at the bottom with the intention of personalizing the card with one of the words from the Building Blocks – Her stamp. I chose ‘mama’ as this is an endearing term I use with my mom. I’m known to answer her calls with “Hey, Mama!” so I thought she would appreciate this.
Now that you’ve seen my project for today, here’s a look at all of the new release products that will be live tomorrow, Tuesday, April 14th at 9am Central!
Build your own personalized sentiments for the women in your life using the Building Blocks – Her stamp with the coordinating die and our easy alignment squares. With one trip through the die cut machine, you’ll have 22 words that can be used to create a variety of personalized sentiments.
The Penned Pretty stamp set includes 6 sentiments designed and sized to work with the words in Building Blocks set. But don’t stop there as these words will work with lots of previously released sentiments and script dies for a variety of personalized sentiment options.
Jen Shults paired several of the ‘mom’ themed words from the new Building Blocks – Her stamp with the ‘happy birthday’ sentiment from Penned Pretty. She embossed the words with white embossing powder on Plum Punch cardstock that matches perfectly with her beautifully blended background.
Next up, we have the Scribbled Rose Cling & Clear stamp set that features a large red rubber background stamp with a mini set of coordinating clear stamps to make filling the background with colored images super easy!
You also got a peek at the Doodle Flowers Background stamp and The Inside Scoop – Her in today’s video. The background features whimsical hand-drawn flowers around an oval opening perfectly sized for adding many of our sentiments. Color the flowers with your favorite coloring medium; markers, liquid watercolor, colored pencils, and even blender brushes! The Inside Scoop set continues our series of sentiments designed to be stamped on the inside of the card. Perfect for Mother’s Day and celebrations beyond!
Noriko Fairchild embossed the Doodle Flower Background in white over the top of a pretty blended background. She added the ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ sentiment from Penned Pretty within the opening and finished it off with a sentiment from the Inside Scoop – Her on the inside.
Melody Rupple filled in the Scribbled Rose background with pretty shades of pink. She added a sentiment from the Simple Strips Background stamp and paired it with the word ‘sister’ from the Building Blocks – Her stamp to customize this project. A few white rhinestones finish off the project with just the right amount of sparkle!
The Beautiful Blossoms stamp set features delicately drawn flowers and foliage that are perfect for coloring with your favorite medium. Cut out the flowers and leaves with the coordinating dies and arrange them into pretty bouquets for your projects!
The Just Vine Background stamp features a coordinating delicately drawn leafy vines. Simply stamp in one color or tone on tone to subtly fill the background of your card, or add color to the leafy design and make it the focal point!
Jen Shults broke out her watercolor supplies and painted this pretty spray of flowers from the Beautiful Blossoms stamp set. She added the Just Vine Background stamped with Peapod on Salt Water Taffy cardstock. A sentiment from the previously released Simple Strips Background is the perfect pop to set apart her beautiful flowers.
The newest in the Clearly Crafty collection is the Bouquet Whimsy stamp set. This set has a folk art feel and includes all sorts of bits and pieces to put together pretty blooms and bouquets. Stamp a garden of flowers directly onto your projects or cut them out with the coordinating dies and build a bouquet.
Heather Nichols stamped several of the florals from the Bouquet Whimsy set directly onto Toffee cardstock (as Heather does so well!) using the stems as a border along the bottom of her card and topping with flowers of varying sizes. You might recognize her Napa Valley color combination from the Quad Colors collections!
Big Blooms – Fuchsia is the newest addition to the Big Blooms collection. The pretty image fills up the majority of your card front and is the perfect image to practice your coloring and shading with any medium! Cut out the fuchsia image with the coordinating Big Blooms – Fuchsia die.
Noriko Fairchild created a jaw-dropping shaker card featuring the Big Blooms – Fuchsia stamp and coordinating die. She showed off her Copic coloring skills here and I love the combination of Bits & Pieces embellishments that she used to create the shaker element. I see Drip Drops, Sparkly Stars, and White Rhinestones! The ‘I love you’ sentiment is from the Penned Pretty set.
Step up the elegance on your projects when you use the new Baroque Pocket and Baroque Overlay dies. Each die features a pretty lace design with scored edges designed to easily attach to your card. Create a lacy flap on one or both sides with the Baroque Overlay while the Baroque Pocket can be used on the inside or outside of your card to hold a photo, an invitation, or a gift card.
Gayatri Murali used Gold Foil cardstock to die cut the Baroque Overlay and create a gatefold enclosure for her Mother’s Day card. There’s another peek at the Big Blooms – Fuchsia stamp set, this time embossed in gold to coordinate with the lacy packaging!
Melody Rupple created a pretty floral pocket card using the Baroque Pocket die and flowers from the new Beautiful Blossoms stamp set. The pocket is the perfect place to tuck a note or a gift card like Melody did here.
