Sneak Peeks: For Teachers & Grads!
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Taylor here and I have a little treat for you today! Yep – we’re releasing new products AND my project includes candy – it’s a double-whammy! *wink* The Creative Team and I have been busy creating with our latest release themed for teachers and grads!
While things are much different this year – we won’t be attending school field days or year-end classroom parties or going to commencement ceremonies and graduation open houses – our appreciation for teachers and pride for graduates has never been stronger! It’s more important than ever to let all of those special teachers know how much they’re appreciated and find ways to celebrate this milestone with 2020 grads!
We’re hoping this carefully curated collection of products will help you do just that! Here’s an ‘at-a-glance’ look at our Grad/Teacher Appreciation Release and what we’ll be up to here on the TE Blog this week:
- The release includes 6 new products carefully curated to refresh your teacher and grad collection. Everything will be available at the TE webstore on Tuesday, April 28th at 9am CST (Yep, that’s TOMORROW!).
- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday blog posts this week will feature a new video with a how-to tip, technique, or process.
- Get a chance to win it before you can buy it by commenting with your answer to my Question of the Day today only (located at the bottom of this blog post)
- Last, but certainly not least – you’ll want to know about our special offer – a free Black and White 6×6 patterned paper pack with purchases of $50 or more. Simply pair these neutral patterns with any school color to easily personalize cards for both grads and teachers!
Offer valid now through Sunday, May 3rd, or while supplies last.
In the video below, I’m going to share with you a few tips for creating two different pencil alignments (one with pencils that have even white space between and one with pencils stacked perfectly on top of each other). It’s really easy with the help of a simple tool!
After creating the tags, I decided to see the project through to the end and create the item that I planned to tie the tags onto! I filled two jars with a rainbow assortment of candies and customized the lids with a built-in shaker element.
I had fun creating these for my daughter’s teachers and I hope we can find a time to do a porch delivery soon!
Now that you’ve seen my project for today, here’s a look at all of the new release products that will be live tomorrow, Tuesday, April 28th at 9am Central!
First up is a collection of products to celebrate the graduate!
{Boxed In} Basics – 2020 Grad is a set of 12 pre-printed panels (measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″). Each panels features a sentiment customized for the class of 2020 (two each of six unique designs). Designs are printing onto our 100 lb. Sugar Cube cardstock. Because they are toner-printed, they can be used with a foiling machine or heat laminator to apply foil – or can be used in black and white while adding colorful accents with blender brushes, markers, pencils, or stamping.
The Flip the Script – Grad Stamp & Die Combo is the perfect coordinate for the Boxed In panels! The graduation cap features the hand-lettered sentiment ‘adventure awaits’ and can be die cut with the coordinating die included in the set.
The Inside Scoop – Grad set includes a collection of sentiments perfect for celebrating the new graduate. As part of our Inside Scoop collection, this set includes a variety of sentiments designed to work well on the inside of your card.
Melody Rupple used the {Boxed In} Basics 2020 Grad cards to create this graduation card. She stenciled the card using the Here Comes the Sun stencil and then added the graduation cap from the Flip the Script – Grad set so that the rays from the stenciling are coming out from behind it. Her cap is created by embossing the ‘adventure awaits’ sentiment in white embossing powder onto a black die cut cap. She repeated the stenciling on the inside of her card and added a sentiment from The Inside Scoop – Grad.
Jill Hawkins used the graduation cap from Flip the Script – Grad set and stamped it in Blueberry ink. She added the hat over stripes that she stenciled with the 1/2″ Stripe Stencil Set. I love how easy it would be to customize this card with just a change of color to match the graduate’s school! Inside the card, Jill stamped a sentiment in the corner from the Inside Scoop – Grad stamp set, leaving plenty of room for a handwritten message.
Gayatri Murali added a fun pop of color to the grad card that she created. She stamped the graduation cap from the Flip the Script – Grad set in an orange color and the used her Blender Brushes to add a light blue hue to the pre-printed Boxed In panel. She added the orange color with her Blender Brushes to the inside panel of the card that is stamped with a sentiment from the Inside Scoop – Grad set. This card design could also be easily personalized for the graduate with school colors!
Next up is a collection of products perfect to show your appreciation for teachers!
The Making a Difference stamp features a whimsical globe image that fills up your card front and features the sentiment ‘You are making a difference everyday’. Create cards to thank special teachers or other people who make a difference in your life. Wouldn’t this be a good one for our postal workers, grocery store clerks, and health care heroes too?
The Takes a Big Heart stamp features the sentiment ‘It takes a big heart to teach little minds’ in a fun and whimsical design. This fun design fills up your A2 sized card front and is perfect for your favorite coloring medium.
There’s a new addition to the Tag Team collection and it’s perfect for sending a thank you to your teachers! The Clearly Crafty Tag Team – Teacher set coordinates with the previously released Tag Team dies to create quick and easy tags. You can also use the set on its own to create cards, treat boxes, and more!
Jen Shults created colorful shaker cards with the new Making a Difference stamp! She colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and blended the colors with Gamsol. Using the Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 dies, acetate, foam sticky strips, and Bits & Pieces Sparkly Stars, Jen put together a whole pile of shaker cards very easily!
Melody Rupple let her Copic coloring skills shine on this bright and fun card created with the Takes a Big Heart stamp. I love how she added the perfect touch with a Bits & Pieces – Have a Heart embellishment on the ‘a’ in the word ‘heart’! You will be able to quickly and easily create a pile of thank you cards for teachers with the full card design!
Heather Nichols used the Tag Team – Teacher stamp set to create this set of coordinating cards and tags. First, Heather created a pile of tags with the coordinating Tag Team dies. It’s so easy to make a bunch of tags in a short amount of time! She used some of the tags on cards that were stamped with images from the Tag Team – Teacher stamp set using Sugar Cube ink on Earl Gray cardstock – stamping with white ink is one of Heather’s signatures and the white on grey gives these a blackboard effect perfect for a teacher card!
