A Crafty Collab: Taylored Expressions + Brutus Monroe!
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Taylor here today and I am so excited to share something exciting that I’ve been working on – a crafty collab!
One of the things I love most about what I do is meeting others who are just as passionate about bringing their creative vision to life! The craft industry is blessed with some of the most talented, innovative people I’ve ever known, and I’m so fortunate to count among them some of my best friends, including Christopher Alan – the genius behind Brutus Monroe.
Christopher and I met while teaching at the same event a couple years ago and became fast friends. So it’s fitting that today we’re joining our companies together to launch a collaborative stamp that celebrates crafty friendship!
Check out Simple Strips – Crafty below! It’s the newest addition to the Simple Strips collection and includes 18 sentiments perfect for creating cards to share the joy of stamping with other stampers! You can find it now at the Taylored Expressions webstore and the Brutus Monroe shop.
Here’s a closer look at the collaboration set:
Simple Strips – Crafty coordinates with the Simple Strips and Simple Strips – Well Rounded dies. Line either of these dies up using our innovative alignment guides and cut out all 18 sentiments with one pass through your die cut machine!
We also wanted to share another stamp with you today. If you have spent $100 or more in the Taylored Expressions webstore in the month of August, then this stamp is probably familiar to you:
The Art From the Heart Background stamp is a crafty themed background stamp that pairs wonderfully with the new Simple Strips – Crafty stamp! You can stamp the background and color in all the details or perhaps do some blending to add color to the inked background. Right now, this set is only available when you place a qualifying order of $100 or more in the TE webstore during the month of August. CLICK HERE for more information.
Now let’s take a look at crafty inspiration from a few members of the TE Creative Team using the new Simple Strips – Crafty stamp. You’ll see inspiration using the Art From the Heart Background stamp too!
Noriko Fairchild brought out all of the bright colors for her card created with the Simple Strips – Crafty stamp. She used her Blender Brushes to create a rainbow background and then added sparkle using the Nebula Stickles Glitter Gel with the Polka Party stencil. Noriko embossed the Simple Strips – Crafty sentiments in white on Oreo cardstock and cut them out with the Simple Strips – Well Rounded die for her project.
Jill Hawkins also embossed the Simple Strips – Crafty sentiments in white on Oreo cardstock for her project. She cut them out with the Simple Strips die and added them to a background that is stamped with the Art From the Heart Background stamp and colored with Copic markers in pretty pastel tones.
How cool and creative is this background that Jen Shults created with the Masking Stencils – Hexagons set?? Jen layered color through the stencils using her Blender Brushes and then added the sentiments from the Simple Strips – Crafty stamp over the top. The Bits & Pieces – Clear Drip Drops are the perfect finishing touch!
Heather Nichols embossed the sentiments from the Simple Strips – Crafty stamp onto a rainbow of cardstock colors and cut them out with the Simple Strips die. She stacked up the sentiments onto a card, alternating the strips with tiny paintbrushes that she created with the Little Bits – Paint Brushes die collection – there’s even a tiny bit of glitter on the brush tips for extra sparkle. The background on the card is stamped with the Art From the Heart background stamp with Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock. Heather even created a few tags to coordinate with her card design!
Melody Rupple created a fun and crafty themed background for her project using the Craftiness is Happiness stamp set and a few extra paint brushes that she created with the Little Bits – Paint Brushes die collection. The sentiments from the Simple Strips – Crafty stamp on Melody’s card are embossed in black onto Guava cardstock and cut out with the Simple Strips – Well Rounded die.
