Let’s get the inspiration started!
Watch the video below from Joy Baldwin to see how she created both of these projects using the Fall Foliage Stamp & Stencil Combo set. She also incorporated the Linen Background stamp, the Mini Strips – Harvest stamp (+ coordinating Mini Strips die), and the Farmhouse Sentiments stamp set.
In the video, Joy shares a few different tips and ideas for using the Fall Foliage Stamp & Stencil Combo set. She shares how to line up and use the set along with a masking stencil, a few color combination options, and different ways to add embossed sentiments to your cards.
One thing I love on both of Joy’s projects is how she incorporated the Linen Background stamp into them. For the card on the left, Joy stamped the Linen Background over the whole piece of cardstock and then added the other elements over the top. This gives her card a great overall rustic texture that is perfect for fall. For the card on the right, Joy stamped the Linen Background onto Toffee cardstock with Sugar Cube ink. She cut it out with a Pennant Stacklets die and it makes a great textured layer that looks like burlap.
Check out the list below for the supplies that Joy used on her projects:

Annette Allen created this bright and cheery autumn card with the Fall Foliage Stamp & Stencil Combo set. She embossed the leaf vein background with black embossing powder and then added the stenciled leaves over that. The ‘happy fall y’all’ sentiment is stamped on Toffee cardstock and stacked up on a few die cut layers to pop it up a bit on the card. Annette’s perfect finishing touch is a burlap twine bow above the sentiment!
Natasha Valkovskaya created the leafy background with the Fall Foliage Stamp & Stencil Combo set and then cut it apart to use on several smaller 3″ x 3″ cards – how cute and fun is that? Natasha added sentiments to her cards using the Tag Team – Thanksgiving stamp set (+ coordinating Tag Team dies) and she even added some great stitching details with her sewing machine!
Now let’s take a closer look at the Modern Tree Stamp & Stencil Combo set:
The new Modern Tree Stamp & Stencil Combo set includes a red rubber stamp set featuring an outline tree image that you can color in quickly and easily using the solid tree trunk stamp and the coordinating stencils. You can also create a tree image without the outline stamp for another look. The stamp set also includes six sentiments to use on your projects for a wide variety of occasions. (Don’t forget about the promotion to get this set for $30 going on now through this Sunday in the TE webstore!)
Latisha Yoast created a cute autumn scene on this Slim Line card with the Modern Tree Stamp & Stencil Combo set. Latisha used Blender Brushes to add the green grass and cloudy sky and then set two trees into the scene. The front tree uses the outline image and the tree in the back was created with the solid tree trunk stamp and the stencils. I love the details that Latisha added with Copic markers and Nuvo Glaze.
Laurie Willison created a pretty scene that reminds me of spring with the Modern Tree Stamp & Stencil Combo set. Laurie used the solid tree trunk stamp and added leaves to the tree by applying ink through the stencils. The stencil to create the grass at the bottom of the scene is from the Farm Fresh Kit. I love how Laurie added the sentiment onto the tree using the Building Blocks – Happy Additions stamp (+ coordinating Building Blocks die).
Melody Rupple takes us back to autumn with her card created with the Modern Tree Stamp & Stencil Combo set. She also used the solid tree trunk stamp and stencils to create her tree, using Cherry Pop, Sweet Basil, and Pumpkin inks. Melody embossed her sentiment in gold on a strip of Cherry Pop cardstock and added gold splatters to her card for a shimmery finishing touch.
And finally for today is this lovely fall card created by Arjita Sepaha Singh using a no-line coloring technique. She stamped the outline tree image onto watercolor paper with a light colored ink and then used watercolor paints to add the color and bring the tree to life. The result is so soft and pretty and would be wonderful for sending caring thoughts and prayers to a loved one.
