Back by Popular Demand – the Field Notes Kit!
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Heather here today and I have exciting news to share! By popular demand, we are bringing back the Field Notes Kit for a limited time! If you missed out on this gorgeous kit, here’s one last chance to purchase it. This kit sold out very quickly when it debuted in August and we have LOVED seeing all of the wonderful projects that have been shared using it.
So what’s unique about our kits at TE? First, there’s no subscription necessary. Also, in keeping with our mission to Share Joy, we encourage you to send the cards you create by including six envelopes in a variety of colors along with six custom envelope seals to match the theme of the kit. Each kit comes packaged in a zippered pouch with a coordinating vinyl sticker making it easy to keep the supplies together.
Today, I have a NEW project from Joy Baldwin to share with you using the Field Notes Kit. Before I get to that, here’s a closer look at the kit itself below and more information about a sale happening in the TE webstore.
Here’s everything included the Field Notes Kit – which retails for $85:
- Sketchbook Florals stamp set
- Sketchbook Florals die collection
- Field Notes stamp set
- Rough Draft Background stamp
- Masking Stencils – Frayed Edge Rectangles
- 6 Custom Envelope Seals
- 6 Colored Envelopes

Are you ready for today’s inspiration using the Field Notes Kit?
Today’s project is cerated by Joy Baldwin using products from the Field Notes Kit – isn’t is gorgeous? Watch the video below to see how Joy created her card from start to finish:
In the video, Joy uses the Sketchbook Florals stamp set (+ coordinating dies) and Field Notes stamp set from the Field Notes Kit to create a card. She shares how to create a background that combines heat embossing and ink blending and has several tips and tricks for coloring the flower images with Copic markers.
I love the different techniques that Joy used on the background of her card. She embossed images from the Field Notes stamp set in clear embossing powder before blending Salt Water Taffy and Gumball inks over the top. I really like how she stamped the diamond elements with Mint Julep ink and then with Versamark ink before embossing the images with clear embossing powder. The embossed image shows up in the Mint Julep color for a great effect!
Joy’s Copic coloring skills shine on the flowers from the Sketchbook Florals stamp set. She shares great Copic color combinations in the video for the different colored flowers, stems, and leaves on her project. I really love the polka dot details that she added to the flowers with a white gel pen!
Check out the list below for the supplies that Joy used on her project:
