Two Ways to Stamp & Create With Bursting Blooms!
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Heather here today to share more inspiration with the Bursting Blooms stamp set. Emily Leiphart created this pretty pair of Mini Slim cards with the stamp set and I have a video to share today from her that shows how she created them.
In case you haven’t seen at the Bursting Blooms stamp set, here’s a closer look below. This set is free during the month of February with any purchase of $100 or more in the TE webstore. CLICK HERE for more information.
Spring is in the air (or at least we can’t wait for it to be!), and the beautiful Bursting Blooms stamp set is just what you need to brighten someone’s day. The set features a graceful stem of cheerful cherry blossoms and a few sweet sentiments in a simple font.
Watch the video below to see how Emily Leiphart created the pair of Mini Slim cards with the Bursting Blooms stamp set:
In the video, Emily creates two cards with the Bursting Blooms stamp set. She stamps the full bloom on one card and uses a masking technique to stamp several blooms on the second card. The flowers are colored with Copic markers, one in purple tones and one in neutral tones. She adds the flowers to Mini Slim card bases and I love the tip Emily shares for conserving cardstock when you are doing multiple layers on your projects!
This first card features the full floral stem from the Bursting Blooms stamp set in purple tones. The technique that Emily shares for coloring the flowers with Copic markers gives really beautiful results without spending lots of time doing extra blending! She used one of the sentiments from the stamp set stamped in Oreo ink in the open area under the floral stem to finish off the card.
This card features the floral images stamped multiple times using a masking technique. I love the neutral tones that Emily used for coloring the flowers on this card and how she did the sentiment in purple inks to coordinate with the card base. The On the Block – Happy is stamped with Lavender Glaze and Jelly Donut inks to create an ombre effect and Emily paired it with ‘Easter’ from the Building Blocks – Happy Additions stamp to complete the sentiment.
The supply list below includes the products that Emily used to create this card in addition to the Bursting Blooms stamp set:
