Cheers! To More Inspiration Using NEW Masculine Themed Products!
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Heather here today with more inspiration to share for our Father’s Day release. Are you loving all of the argyle, craft brews, and other masculine themed products in this week’s release as much as I am? It’s always a good thing to have items in my crafty stash that are fun and inspiring to create for all of the people in my life and this group of products definitely fills in some of the gaps for me! Today’s post includes more inspiration from the TE Creative Team along with a video from Mindy Eggen!

Mindy Eggen is here today with a video featuring two cards that are perfect for Father’s Day and more! Watch the video below to see how she created them from start to finish:
In the video, Mindy shares two different cards that feature the toasting beer mugs from the Hoppy Days Cling & Clear Combo set. Mindy shares more details about the set and how you can stamp the multi-colored mugs using both the red rubber stamp and coordinating clear stamp fills. She also shares how to create two different backgrounds: one using the Bokeh Layered Stencil set and the other with the Argyle Stamp & Stencil Combo set.
One fun detail that Mindy added to the beer mugs is using white liquid applique and Sugar Cube glitter to create dimensional foam. She colored in the foam area on the image with the tube of liquid applique, coated it with the glitter, and then used her heat tool to dry it. When heat is applied, the liquid applique puffs up!
The background on this first card is created with the Bokeh Layered Stencil set and I would say that it is a perfect choice to pair with the beer mugs! Mindy used Lemon Meringue, Pineapple, and Dijon ink for the different stencil layers and I also like how she rotated one of the stencil layers to spread out the bubbles a bit more on the background.
The background on this second card is created with the Argyle Stamp & Stencil Combo set. Mindy embossed the diamond grid with clear embossing powder and added the stenciled diamonds using Poppy Seed, Mushroom, and Spearmint inks. The sentiments are from the Simple Strips – Man Myth Legend stamp and are embossed in white on Oreo cardstock. I love Mindy’s tip to stamp the sentiments with Sugar Cube ink when you emboss with white embossing powder to ensure the perfect, crisp look.
Here are a few more projects from a few members of the TE Creative Team that are created with the new products from this weeks release:
Melody Rupple gathered a few brews together on this birthday card that is created with the Hoppy Days Cling & Clear Combo set. I love her glitter detail on the foam that she created with Nuvo glitter drops and Sugar cube glitter! The stamped background is done using just the diamond grid background from the Argyle Stamp & Stencil Combo set and the impression on the die cut circle is created with the Diamonds Piercing Plate.
This card by Latisha Yoast features a background pattern stamped with the hops image that is included in the clear stamp set from the Hoppy Days Cling & Clear Combo set. She stamped the background of the card with Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock. The beer mug is also stamped on Toffee cardstock with Pineapple ink for the fill color and details added with a white gel pen. The ‘cheers!’ sentiment and a bit of white twine tied around the top of the card are the perfect finishing touches.
This Father’s Day Mini Slim card by Natasha Valkovskaya combines several of the new products from this week’s release! She added the beer mugs from the Hoppy Days Cling & Clear Combo set to a Sugar Cube Cardstock panel and has them peeking out from behind the On the Block – Dad that is stamped and cut out with the coordinating die. She stamped the ‘thanks for listening…’ sentiment from the Perfect Parent 2 stamp set at the bottom of the panel and added it to a Mini Slim Toffee card base that is stamped with the Ticks & Tacks Background stamp.
Laurie Willison is proposing a toast with beer mugs created using the Little Bits – Mug dies on this birthday card. Instead of fully impressing the Diamonds Piercing Plate into her cardstock, she hot foiled the plate onto Sugar Cube cardstock with a gold foil (this is a foiling technique I have not tried yet!) It’s hard to see in the photograph, but I can imagine it’s pretty impressive in person. I love how she added the foiled cardstock in just a strip on her card and stamped the ‘Cheers to many more years!’ underneath.
Jill Hawkins got creative with paring the Argyle Stamp & Stencil Combo set with the Diamonds Piercing Plate on this birthday card! She stamped the diamond grid design over her impressed cardstock with Mushroom ink and then added the stenciled diamonds in a sort of non-traditional pattern. She shifted the stencils around to add lots of color all over the background design with Blueberry, Djion, and Confetti Cake inks. Don’t be afraid to experiment with the set to create all sorts of unique designs! The sentiment on Jill’s card is created with the On the Block – Dad stamp (+ coordinating die) and sentiments from the Simple Strips – Man Myth Legend stamp.
One of the things I have loved about the new Argyle Stamp & Stencil Combo set is all of the different color combinations on the CT Creative Team projects! There are so many possibilities like the combination on this Father’s Day card by Noriko Fairchild. Her argyle pattern was created with Peaches ‘n’ Cream, Spearmint, Poblano Pepper, and Earl Gray inks – isn’t it great? I also love how she created her sentiment strips to span the whole width of the card, both on the front and inside too. The sentiments are from the Simple Strips – Man Myth Legend stamp and are embossed in white on Oreo cardstock.
And finally, here’s another color combination idea for the Argyle Stamp & Stencil Combo set from Annette Allen. She stamped the diamond grid with Oreo ink onto Earl Gray cardstock and stenciled the diamond pattern using Blue Corn, Cilantro, and Poppy Seed inks. The On the Block – Dad stamp is embossed in white on Earl Gray cardstock, cut out with the coordinating die, and then Annette added sentiment strips that are embossed in white on Cilantro cardstock above and below it. The sentiments are from the new Simple Strips – Man Myth Legend stamp.
