Today’s video is from Joy Baldwin and she is crafting with the Anything’s Popsicle Stencil & Clear Combo set (+ coordinating dies). Watch below to see the three different cards that Joy created:
In the video, Joy creates lots of popsicles, both large and small, using the Anything’s Popsicle Stencil & Clear Combo set (+ coordinating dies). She used the stencils to build the popsicle images with her Blender Brushes, added details with more blending, stamping, and/or embossing, and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Joy used the popsicles on three different card formats/designs: a mini slim size, a slimline size, and a bonus A2 shaker card. Two of the cards feature sentiments that are created with the new On the Block – Cool stamp (+ coordinating die) and Building Blocks – Cool Additions stamp.
Here’s a closer look at the new products that Joy used in the video
Popsicles are definitely a summer staple and you’ll love adding them to your projects using the new Anything’s Popsicle Combo set. The set includes the option of a line up of smaller popsicle images as well as a larger popsicle image to use as a focal point on your projects. Use your blender brushes with the stencils to build the popsicles and then add details with the clear stamps. The die collection includes a die that will cut out the whole border of smaller images at once and a die for the larger image.
We’re adding to the On the Block collection with the new On the Block – Cool stamp and coordinating On the Block – Cool Shadow die. The sans-serif block letters slightly overlap and are not perfectly aligned, adding a whimsical charm to the word.
A perfect companion to the On the Block – Cool stamp is the new Building Blocks – Cool Additions stamp. This new Building Blocks stamp includes 22 words and phrases that work perfectly together to create sentiments for patriotic cards, tags, and more. Cut out all 22 words and phrases with one pass through your die cut machine using our innovative alignment guides and the coordinating Building Blocks die.
This first card is a mini slim size (3.5″ x 6″) and Joy added the smaller popsicles scattered across the bottom of the card to create a border. I love the tip that Joy shares for laying out the popsicles on her project and then once they are arranged, she uses a strip of Scotch Removable Tape to hold them together so she can flip the border over and add adhesive to the back. The ‘hello summer’ sentiment that Joy used on this card is included in the clear stamp set in the Anything’s Popsicle Stencil & Clear Combo set.
This card is slimline size (3.5″ x 8.5″) and features the larger popsicles created with the Anything’s Popsicle Stencil & Clear Combo set. Joy did an inlay technique with the die cut popsicles and created a great dimensional look on the card. She used the Anything’s Popsicle dies to cut out where the popsicles would go on the card, popped up the panel on the card base, and then inset the popsicles into the die cut openings using a tape runner. Joy used mini ink cubes to create a fun rainbow blend with the On the Block – Cool stamp and paired it with the ‘you’re super’ phrase from the Building Blocks – Cool Additions stamp to complete the sentiment.
Joy had so many little popsicles left over from the first card she made, that she decided to create this super cute shaker card! She used a scalloped frame from the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate dies to create the shaker along with foam sticky strips and window acetate. The sentiment is added to the front of the shaker using the On the Block – Cool stamp (+ coordinating die) and Building Blocks – Cool Additions stamp (+ Building Blocks die).
The list below includes all of the supplies that Joy used on the three cards that she shared in the video:
Here’s one last round up of inspiration from the TE Creative Team using new products from this week’s release:
This mini slim card created by Jill Hawkins is way too fun! Jill added sunglasses created with the Sun’s Out dies to a line up of popsicles created with the Anything’s Popsicle Stencil & Clear Combo set. That fun diagonal striped background is stenciled using the striped stencil from the Stencil Strips – Holiday set. I love the pop of sparkle from the Oreo glitter that Jill used for the sunglasses lenses! The ‘you’re the coolest’ sentiment from the Mini Strips – Hello Summer stamp is just perfect for this summery card!
Mindy Eggen spotlighted a few glittery popsicles from the Anything’s Popsicle Stencil & Clear Combo set on this card that has summer carnival vibes! The popsicles are stenciled with blender brushes and then Mindy added the ‘topping’ to them with Glitter Grab paste sprinkled with multiple colors of glitter. I love how Mindy stenciled the Here Comes the Sun stencil once with Pineapple ink and then shifted the stencil over to stencil it with Candy Corn ink to create the background on her card. The ‘hello summer’ sentiment from the Mini Strips – Hello Summer stamp is embossed in white on an Oreo Cardstock strip.
There are so many great things happening on this colorful card by Kavya! First of all, I love her play on words on this card for her ‘pops’, spelled out with the Cap it Off Alpha dies, paired with the popsicles created with the Anything’s Popsicle Stencil & Clear Combo set. Kavya had fun blending the popsicles in a rainbow of colors, adding details in a with the clear stamps, and adding sparkle with Pearl glitter. She set the card design onto a background cut out using the Rainbow Cutting Plate die and completed the sentiment on the card with a few sentiment strips from the Mini Strips – You’re the Best stamp.
Laurie Willison created popsicles for her projects that look good enough to eat! After stenciling the popsicles and adding stamped details with the Anything’s Popsicle Stencil & Clear Combo set, Laurie added a bit of glitter and coated the popsicles with Glossy Accents to add dimension and shine! The popsicles are popped up on a background that is stenciled across the bottom with the Set the Scene – Grass Stencil Strips and stamped with a sentiment from the Shades of Summer stamp set.
Noriko Fairchild created this ‘cool’ card using the Pennant Stacklets dies to create a unique shape for the card. The background pattern is created by pairing the Splash stencil with the Twinkle Twinkle Background stamp. Noriko stenciled the design with Sugar Cube ink, brushed on a bit of pigment powder to add shimmer, and stamped the Twinkle Twinkle Background in Blueberry ink over the top. The splashy pattern coordinates with the sentiment perfectly that is created with the On the Block – Cool stamp (+ coordinating die) and Building Blocks – Cool Additions stamp (+ coordinating die).
This cool and colorful card for summer was created by Annette Allen. She used the On the Block – Cool stamp for the background, stamping it in a rainbow of colors. The main ‘cool’ word is cut out using the On the Block – Cool Shadow die and Annette coated each letter in the word in a different glitter color, adhering the glitter with Glitter Grab paste. I love how Annette added the palm trees to the ‘O’s in the word with a patterned lens image from the Shades of Summer stamp set and she completed the sentiment on the card with the ‘you’re super’ phrase from the Building Blocks – Cool Additions stamp.
