Today’s video is from Mindy Eggen and she is sharing a few ways to use the thin frames cut out with the Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate die on your Mini Slim cards. She also features the new Tickled Pink and Toucan Do It Stamp & Combo sets on her cards. Watch the video below:

In the video, Mindy shows how she created two Mini Slim cards that utilize the Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate die in a few different ways. Mindy cuts out the thin frames from a a variety of cardstock colors, including gold foil cardstock, and uses a liquid adhesive to attach them to her card backgrounds. She also shares how she adds color to the stamped images from the Tickled Pink and Toucan Do It Stamp & Stencil Combo sets using her Blender Brushes and Copic markers. Both cards are finished with sentiments embossed in white on Oreo cardstock and a few Bits & Pieces – Drip Drops.

Here is a closer look at the Mini Slim cards that Mindy creates in the video:

On this card, Mindy stacked several of the thin frames together that are cut out with the Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate die to create the background. The frames are cut out from several colors of cardstock: Salt Water Taffy, Confetti Cake, Cookie Monster, Watermelon, Candy Corn, and Pineapple. Once her background was adhered to the card front, Mindy added the toucan image, sentiment, and Bits & Pieces – Drip Drops.

The thin frames on this card are cut out with the Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate die from gold foil cardstock. Mindy used just two of the frames set over the top of a background that she stenciled with the Mini Slim Tropical Leaves stencil to frame the card design. She added the flamingos, sentiment, and Bits & Pieces – Drip Drops to finish off the card.

Emily Mydlowski used a rainbow of colors to create a background on this Mini Slim card with the Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate die (check out her blog for a great idea to organize the die cut frames and die!) The background is perfect to showcase the flamingo from the Tickled Pink Stamp & Stencil Combo set. The rectangle from the center of the Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate die is the perfect size for adding a sentiment onto and Emily embossed the ‘you’re flamazing’ sentiment onto it for her card. I love Emily’s coordinating envelope that she lined with paper stenciled with the Mini Slim Tropical Leaves stencil and cut out with the Mini Slim Scalloped Envelope Liner die.

I love the beachy scene that Arjita Sepaha Singh created on this Mini Slim card! She used the Mini Slim Trifold Template + Dies – Circle set to create the sun in the background and added waves to the bottom of the card with the Build a Scene – Rolling Hills dies cut out from Sprinkles cardstock. The flamingo from the Tickled Pink Stamp & Stencil Combo set is stamped with a light ink tone on Toffee cardstock and colored with Prismacolor pencils for a no-line effect and the sentiment is stamped in Oreo ink onto the card.

Noriko Fairchild used the largest frame from from Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate die to create a Mini Slim shaker card! She backed the frame with window acetate, added foam sticky strips, and attached the frame over a glittery background created with the Mini Slim Tropical Leaves stencil. The shaker is filled with Snow Flurries sequins and the front of the shaker features the toucan and a sentiment from the Toucan Do It Stamp & Stencil Combo set. This card is a whole lot of interactive, sparkly fun!

I love the colorful blend that Laurie Willison did on the toucan from the Toucan Do It Stamp & Stencil Combo set! She stenciled the body in a dark gray ink, added the wing in blue, ink blended the tail with blue, green, and yellow inks, and added details with Copic markers. The background of the card is stenciled with the Sunray stencil and Laurie added a few puffy clouds cut out with the Rainbow Cloud Duo dies over the stamped sentiment.

Here’s a look at a Mini Slim card by Natasha Valkovskaya that features the Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate die and the previously released Wildflower Background stamp image. I like how Natasha spotlighted the flowers by coloring just the portion of the image that is framed. The ‘girl, you are amazing’ sentiment from the Simple Strips – Thanks stamp is embossed in white on Oreo cardstock and added over the framed image. I also love the coordinating envelope that Natasha created with a Cherry Pop Mini Slim envelope and a liner stamped with the Gathered Greenery Background stamp and cut out with the Mini Slim Scalloped Envelope Liner die.
