More Inspiration With NEW Designer Dangles Products!
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Heather here and I have more inspiration to share with you for the new Designer Dangles products that we released on Tuesday. I am always impressed at the new products and ideas that are introduced for the Designer Dangles collection and this release is no different. I think my favorite is all of the new Knock on Wood shapes. What a great element and texture to add to your jewelry designs! Today, I have a video to share from Susan Block along with more earring inspiration from members of the TE Creative Team.
If you haven’t checked out the new Designer Dangles products, click below:
Watch the video below for an in-depth look at creating with the new Designer Dangles products with Susan Block:
In the video, Susan walks you through how to create your own handmade earrings using the new Taylored Expressions’ Mixed Media Designer Dangles dies. Susan shows you not only how to use the new products, but all of the basics too: setting up your die-cutting machine, how to use a metal shim to get a clean cut, how to properly open jump rings and earring wires, and more!
Here’s a closer look at the earrings that Susan created in the video:
This trio of earring sets were created with the Knock on Wood – In the Round shapes and Designer Dangles – In the Round dies. Susan created a template with the Designer Dangles – In the Round dies for lining up the extra layer on the bottom of the earrings perfectly every time – make sure to watch the video to see how she does it! I love the pop of pattern on the earrings that Susan cut out from the Custom Craft Leather – Farmhouse Flowers, 100% Wool Designer Felt – Leopard, and Custom Craft Leather – Blue Blossoms. You can customize the earrings to match your favorite outfits and create the perfect gifts!
Susan also created several pairs of earrings with the Knock on Wood – On Point Frames shapes and Designer Dangles – On Point dies. It’s easy to create classy earrings by layering the die cut and wood shapes together. To step up the design, Susan attached the frame right onto a piece of craft leather and trimmed it to the frame edge with scissors. The craft leather that Susan used on this trio of earring sets is: Custom Craft Leather – Farmhouse Flowers, Craft Leather – Black & White, and Custom Craft Leather – Trendy Twigs.
Here’s more inspiration from the TE Creative Team using the new Designer Dangles products:
Annette Allen combined new Designer Dangles shapes and leathers to create this pretty set of floral print earrings. The top layer is cut out with the Designer Dangles – On Point dies from Custom Craft Leather – Trendy Twigs and layered over Custom Craft Leather – Farmhouse Flowers cut out with the base shape from the Designer Dangles – In the Round die collection. There are so many ways that you can layer the different patterns, shapes, and other elements together!
Melody Rupple put together a few sets of earrings with the Designer Dangles – Wrap Around dies and Knock on Wood – Wrap Around Rings. The earrings on the left have wraps cut out from the Custom Craft Leather – Trendy Twigs and the pair on the right from the Leopard – 100% Wool Designer Felt. That pop of pattern at the top of this style of earrings can be customized however you like!
Put together the perfect gift set of earrings by using a matching leather on the different styles of earring that you include. Kelly Lunceford used the Custom Craft Leather – Blue Blossoms on each of these pairs. The earrings on the left are created with the Designer Dangles – Wrap Around dies and Knock on Wood – Wrap Around Rings and the earring on the right are made with the Designer Dangles – On Point dies and Knock on Wood – On Point Solids.
The gold metallic flecks in the green cork, from the Craft Leather – Good as Gold pack, paired with the gold earring wires and jump rings on this set of earrings are perfectly on trend. Kelly Lunceford created this pair using the Designer Dangles – Double Drop dies cut and Knock on Wood – Double Drop shapes.
Kavya added additional embellishments to this pair of earrings created with the Designer Dangles – Double Drop dies and Knock on Wood – Double Drop shapes. She cut out teeny flowers using the Spring Wreath and Little Bits – Flowers & Stems die collections from thin balsa wood and added color to them with Copic markers. Using your paper crafting supplies with Designer Dangles products expands the crafty possibilities!
That wraps up the Designer Dangles inspiration for this week!
