Today’s video is from Heather Nichols and she is sharing a pair of cute summer-themed shaker cards. She uses the new MISTI tools and accessories that we are releasing today to create her cards. Watch the video below to see how the shaker cards come together from start to finish:

In the video, Heather creates a set of summery cards and shares the new MISTI accessories and tools that she uses along the way. The Just Press Tool is perfect for stamping larger images in your MISTI, the MISTI Double-sided Grid Paper fits into the original MISTI and MISTI 2.0 and includes guides that are helpful for stamping backgrounds on A2 sized cards (and more!), the Pick Up Stickers make picking up and moving your MISTI bar magnet a breeze, and the MISTI Clear Alignment Panels enable you to line up images and sentiments easily!

Here is a closer look at the cards that Heather created in the video:

This cute pair of cards are perfect for summer and feature the Make a Splash Background and a few of the critters from the Floaties stamp set. It’s easy to create different looks with the Make a Splash Background with just a change of cardstock and ink. The card on the left features a tone one tone look that Heather achieved with Blue Raspberry cardstock and ink. For the card on the right, Heather inked up the background with multiple colors (Peapod, Spearmint, Poblano Pepper, and Cookie Monster) using mini ink cubes and stamped it onto Sugar Cube cardstock. Make sure to watch the video to see how to use the new Just Press Tool for stamping with your large background stamps. Being able to stamp with even pressure using the Just Press Tool gives you great results!

Heather colored the critters with both Copic markers and colored pencils and added them to Stitched Banner Stacklets die cuts that are stamped with the ‘Hope your day is a splash!’ sentiment. She lined up the sentiment to stamp it on the die cuts using the Clear Alignment Panels in her MISTI. The clear and gridded panels make precision stamping easier than ever!

Introducing the Just Press Tool! This tool is styled after a dry eraser with a thick felt bottom and features a screen-printed rainbow sentiment – Don’t Stress Just Press! I chose this sentiment as it’s what I found myself saying in my head as I used the tool (of course, in a high-pitched sing-song voice that I’m happy to demonstrate for anyone who asks). 😉

This cute, simple, comfortable tool is designed specifically with crafters in mind. Simply rest your hand on top of the tool without having to grip a handle to add even pressure when you are stamping with your MISTI. It’s lightweight and low-profile (not quite 1″ tall) for easy storage and quick desktop access when you need it.

I’m proud to be able to collaborate with Iliana at My Sweet Petunia and bring you our own branded MISTI grid paper (of course, the grid is printed in teal!). I love supporting her and her amazing invention and being able to bring some of my own ideas to the table in our collab. The pad includes 40 double-sided pieces of grid paper and is gummed along the left side. It also includes printed guides for A2 (vertical and horizontal) and Mini Slim sizes. The grid paper is sized 6.5″ x 8.5″ and fits the original MISTI and MISTI 2.0.

Stamp with precision using the new MISTI Clear Alignment Panels in various card-appropriate sizes for lining up stamped images and sentiments. The set of four clear laminated panels includes: a gridded Mini Slim size (3.5″ x 6″), a gridded A2 size (4.25″ x 5.5″), a gridded 6.5″ x 8.5″ size, and a clear 6.5″ x 8.5″ size.

Picking up your MISTI bar magnet just got easier and cuter with our new Pick Up Stickers! These durable vinyl strips wrap around your magnet, leaving a tab to grab and lift. The Pick Up Stickers are available in a pack of two and we have two different options to choose from: Rainbow Stripe and Teal Crafty Print (pictured on the left) or Chevron Rainbow Stripe and Pink Crafty Print (pictured on the right).
