Today’s video is from Mindy Eggen using the products that are a part of the Autumn Blessings Collection that I shared above: the Autumn Blessings stamp set, the Autumn Blessings die collection, and the Swirls Pierce & Cut Plate die. Watch the video below to see how this fall card is created:
In the video, Mindy creates a blended background perfect for fall over the top of the Swirls Pierce & Cut Plate die that is cut out from Sweet Potato Pie cardstock. She uses her Blender Brushes with Pumpkin ink around the edges along with a touch of Chocolate Truffle and then adds splatters with a gold watercolor paint. The leaves from the Autumn Blessings stamp set are embossed in gold on vellum and they are added to the card with the sentiment stamped in Chocolate Truffle ink on a strip of Toffee cardstock.
Here’s a closer look at the card that Mindy created in the video:
Look at that gorgeous fall color! Instead of starting with Sugar Cube cardstock for the card background, Mindy used Sweet Potato Pie cardstock. This is a great way to add all the color without having to spend lots of time doing extra ink blending. She blended the edges with her Blender Brushes using Pumpkin ink first and then Chocolate Truffle ink just around the very edge which gave the background the perfect fall vibe! I also love the touches of gold that Mindy added with the embossed leaves and splatters on the background, adding to the over all autumn effect. This card design is one that would be perfect to mass produce for sending autumn blessings to all of your loved ones!
Check out the list below for all of the products that Mindy used on her card:
Now, let’s take a closer look at the products that we are releasing today along with inspiration from the TE Creative Team:
Let’s start things off with the Autumn Blessings stamp set (+ coordinating dies) that you saw in the video above and that is included in the Autumn Blessings Bundle. The stamp set includes 5 patterned leaf images, a splatter image to add texture to your designs, and six sentiments perfect for expressing gratitude and celebrating the fall season.
Laurie Willison gathered a cluster of leaves that she stamped with the Autumn Blessings stamp set using Pineapple, Peapod, and Sweet Potato Pie inks on this clean and simple card to celebrate Thanksgiving. I love how she stamped the ‘Happy Thanksgiving’ in a gradation color repeatedly down the card. You can achieve this look by pairing several shades of ink colors or varying the ink on the stamped image: stamping off for lighter tones, stamping once for medium shades, and stamping the impression several times in the same color for darker tones.
You can use the leaves in the Autumn Blessing stamp set for a focal image, to create backgrounds, or both like Jen Shults did here with the maple leaf image from the set. She stamped the leaves in the background using Olive ink on Toffee cardstock and then colored in the leaves with a Copic marker in a lighter green tone. The focal image leaf is stamped with Oreo ink on Sugar Cube cardstock and Jen added stripes of color using the same Copic marker. The ‘thankful for you’ sentiment from the set is embossed in white on an Olive cardstock strip.
The new Swirls Pierce & Cut Plate die creates a panel for your projects with swirls and dots. The swirls images cut and the dots pierce through your cardstock, giving it wonderful dimension and texture – it’s a perfect for a windy day effect! The Swirls Pierce & Cut Plate cuts the cardstock panel to 4″ x 5.25″ which layers perfectly on an A2 card front.
Heather Nichols stamped the leaves from the Autumn Blessings stamp set and then scattered them across the Toffee cardstock Swirls Pierce & Cut Plate die cut, tucking the leaves into the swirls cut into the cardstock so they look like they are literally blowing in the wind! The leaves are popped up with foam squares for even more dimension and Heather scattered Bit & Pieces – Clear Drip Drops across the design. The ‘autumn blessings’ sentiment is stamped on a Stitched Banner Stacklets die cut in Chocolate Truffle ink.
Emily Mydlowski used just a portion of the Swirls Pierce & Cut Plate die cut from Spearmint cardstock on this card. The ginkgo leaves from from the Autumn Blessings stamp set are stamped with Honey ink and Emily added a bit of sparkle to the leaves with a glitter paste. There are gold splatters on to match the leaves and a few Bits & Pieces – Clear Drip Drops for a finishing touch.
The Autumn Array Stamp & Stencil Combo set enables you to create a gorgeous bouquet of flowers perfect for the fall season. Stamp the foliage and then use the stencils to add the floral elements and details to the bouquet with your Blender Brushes. You can add the bouquet directly onto your projects or cut it out with the coordinating Autumn Array die.
The colors in the bouquet on this card created with the Autumn Array Stamp & Stencil Combo set by Melody Rupple just say fall to me! Melody stamped the foliage with Sweet Basil ink and then added the florals in golds, oranges, and dark reds using her Blender Brushes. The bouquet is cut out with the coordinating die and added to the card along with the script ‘thanks’ sentiment (scroll down to learn more about these new dies!) and a sentiment strip stamped with the Simple Strips – Thanks stamp.
Arjita Sepaha Singh took the bouquet created with the Autumn Array Stamp & Stencil Combo set a step up by using colored pencils to add shading and details to the design. I love how Arjita stenciled the bouquet on Toffee cardstock for a softer, rustic look! The bouquet is added to a tone on tone background stamped with the Fineline Leaf Background stamp (you’ll learn more about this stamp in just a little bit) with Sea Salt ink on Sea Salt cardstock. The ‘with love’ sentiment from the Bursting Blooms stamp set is embossed in white on a Toffee cardstock strip.
Express your thanks with the new Signature Thanks die. Perfect for quick and beautiful thank you cards, you can also use it to express your gratitude at Thanksgiving. Layer it over the Signature Thanks Backer die to add dimension with a variety of materials using the Mixed-Media die.
Show your appreciation and gratitude to the people in your life with The Inside Scoop – Thanks stamp set. Part of our The Inside Scoop collection, this set includes seven sentiments that are as perfect to use on the inside of your cards as the outside.
The Signature Thanks die (+ Signature Thanks Backer die) take center stage on this pair of cards by Jill Hawkins. She used Guava and Sweet Basil cardstock for the backers and backgrounds cut out with the Swirls Pierce & Cut Plate die on the cards. I love how Jill pieced the background with Sugar Cube Cardstock cut with the same die and stitched together with a sewing machine! Opening up the cards reveals sentiments stamped on the inside using The Inside Scoop – Thanks stamp set.
The Fineline Leaf Background stamp featuring a simple leaf in a repeating pattern that adds visual texture to any card or craft. Sized to cover an A2 card front, this stamp is perfect for a variety of occasions, especially fall!
Noriko Fairchild created a gorgeous blend over the top of the embossed Fineline Leaf Background stamp image with her Blender Brushes using Pineapple, Candy Corn, Peapod, Cookie Monster, and Poblano Pepper inks. She added a sparkly ‘thanks’ cut out with the Signature Thanks die from gold glitter cardstock and layered onto a Signature Thanks Backer die cut from vellum. Inside the card, Noriko stamped a sentiment from The Inside Scoop – Thanks stamp set.
Jen Shults created an elegant Mini Slim card to send her thanks with the Fineline Leaf Background stamp embossed in gold and cut out with a Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets die for the card background. She used the Signature Thanks die for her sentiment cut out from Sugar Cube cardstock and added to a layer of Toffee cardstock cut out with the Signature Thanks Backer die. A few Bits & Pieces – Clear Drip Drops are the perfect embellishment to finish off the card.
Gather a group of owls together (called a parliament!) to create cute and crafty cards with the What a Hoot Cling & Clear Combo set. The set includes a red rubber stamp featuring a pattern of adorable owls, as well as 15 clear, photopolymer stamps to color the bodies and wings, add patterns to the owl tummies, and add a few fun sentiments. Add leaves between the owl images using the What a Hoot stencil or cut out the individual owls with the What a Hoot die.
Latisha Yoast gathered the owls together on this fun fall card created with the What a Hoot Cling & Clear Combo set. She stamped the background image and colored the owl bodies using the clear stamps with Honey, Pineapple, and Candy Corn inks. The wings are stamped with Toffee ink and Latisha added the tummy patterns with Chocolate Truffle ink. To add the leaves in between the owls, Latisha used the What a Hoot stencil with Pineapple and Candy Corn inks. I love how Latisha also used the stencil to add leaves to a circle cut out from Pineapple cardstock to highlight the ‘happy fall y’all’ sentiment.
Jill Hawkins cut out the individual owl images from the What a Hoot Cling & Clear Combo set using the coordinating die to use them on this cute card! She stamped the tree from the Modern Tree Stamp & Stencil Combo set, colored it with Copic markers, and added the owls. I love how she added google eyes to the upside down owl in the tree and how the other owls are stacked up next to the tree to watch him – too cute!
Add shimmery accents to the cards you create with our Fall Foliage Stamp & Stencil Combo (sold separately) with our Foil It – Fall Foliage panels. Simply use the stencil from the Combo set to add color to the design, then top with the foil of your choice and run it through your foiling machine. Voilà – shiny leaf veins and dots on a beautiful background! The Foil It – Fall Foliage is a set of 12 pre-printed panels on TE Premium Cardstock (each measures 4″ x 5 1/4″).
Susan Block has been creating with the new Foil It – Fall Foliage panels and paired them with the new Autumn Blessings stamp set – and I think it’s a perfect match! She stenciled the leaves over the panel using the Fall Foliage Stamp & Stencil Combo set, added the sentiment onto a Sugar Cube Stitched Banner Stacklets die cut and added a few leaves together that are stamped and cut out from coordinating colors of cardstock.
