Today’s video is from Joy Baldwin and she has a few Father’s Day card designs to share. Watch the video below to see how these cards come together from start to finish:
In the video, Joy creates two Father’s Day cards using the new Father’s Day Favorites stamp set (+ coordinating dies), the previously released Hoppy Days Cling & Clear Combo set, and the previously released Argyle Stamp & Stencil Combo set. She shares how to stamp the diamond grid from the Argyle Stamp & Stencil Combo set and use the stencils to create the argyle pattern in two different color combinations. The beer mugs and sentiments are stamped and cut out with the coordinating dies and Joy added the color to the beer mugs with the coordinating clear stamps.
Here’s a closer look at the the cards that Joy created the video:
For this card, Joy added the argyle panel to the bottom portion of the card and added the beer mugs at the top of the pattern along with the ‘#1 Dad’ sentiment from the Father’s Day Favorites stamp set and the ‘Happy Father’s Day’ sentiment from the Hoppy Days Cling & Clear Combo set. The color combination that Joy used for this card is: Pineapple, Lime Zest, and Poblano Pepper.
Joy framed the argyle pattern on this next card using the largest frame from the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate die. She added the ‘Happy Father’s Day’ sentiment from the Father’s Day Favorites stamp set with foam adhesive to pop it up and added the beer mug with a mini wobble spring so the mug can bobble back and forth! The color combo for this card is: Pumpkin, Mocha, and Blue Corn.
Check out the list below for the supplies that Joy used on both of her cards:
Here’s a closer look at the new products that are a part of this release along with inspiration created by the TE Creative Team:
Create a whole school of fish with the new Hook, Line, & Sinker Stamp & Stencil Combo set. Stamp the patterns and then bring the fish to life using the three stencil layers with your blender brushes. Create a background or use the coordinating dies to cut out the fish to use individually on projects to celebrate Dad and more!
Melody Rupple created this Father’s Day card with the Hook, Line, & Sinker Stamp & Stencil Combo set. She stamped the patterns with Oreo ink and stenciled the fish with Confetti Cake, Granny Smith, and Blueberry inks. She cut a few of the fish out with the coordinating dies, added Bits & Pieces – Black Drip Drops to the eyes, and popped them up with foam adhesive over the background. The sentiment from the Reely Great Stamp & Die Combo set (more on this set shortly!) is embossed in white on Blueberry cardstock and cut out with a Stitched Rectangle Stacklets die.
Jill Hawkins broke out the google eyes to add to the fish created with the Hook, Line, & Sinker Stamp & Stencil Combo set. The patterns are stamped with Mushroom ink and Jill stenciled the fish with a rainbow of colors – I love the touch of sparkle that she added to the fins! The background of the card is created with the Just Keep Swimming stencil and the sentiment is from the Reely Great Stamp & Die Combo set. More on both of those new products below!
Let your loved one know how much you ‘reely’ love them with the sentiments in the Reely Great Stamp & Die Combo set! The set includes all sort of fish themed sentiments along with a fishing pole (with coordinating die) and small fish images to create cards, tags, and more for the fishing enthusiasts in your life!
The Just Keep Swimming stencil features a school of fish swimming in a circular shape. Use with your blender brushes, glitter pastes, and more to create fun fish patterns on your projects!
Cut out tiny fish to embellish your projects or fill up shaker cards with the Little Bits – Fish die. The die cuts out six fish in three different sizes.
Heather Nichols stenciled the Just Keep Swimming stencil with Sugar Cube in on Toffee cardstock to create the background on this fish themed birthday card! The larger fish are embossed in white and stenciled with Blue Raspberry, Granny Smith, and Blueberry inks with the Hook, Line, & Sinker Stamp & Stencil Combo set and cut out with the coordinating dies. Heather added the ‘birthday fishes’ sentiment from the Reely Great Stamp & Die Combo set along with a bunch of glittery fish cut out with the Little Bits – Fish die from glitter cardstock.
Noriko Fairchild used the fishing reel die from the Reely Great Stamp & Die Combo set to create the background on this Father’s Day card. She cut out and arranged the reels on a piece of Peapod cardstock and then stamped the small fish from the set scattered throughout the design. The ‘to our favorite catch’ sentiment is embossed in white on an Oreo cardstock strip and Noriko added the ‘I couldn’t fish for a better dad!’ sentiment stamped on the inside of the card.
Jen Shults added the fishing reel from the Reely Great Stamp & Die Combo set over a background that she stenciled with the Just Keep Swimming stencil. If you look close, you’ll notice that Jen used the Little Bits – Fish die to cut to and add fish in with the stenciled fish design as well as one onto the end of the fishing reel line! The ‘Happy Father’s Day’ sentiment is from another new set that you’ll learn about in just a bit!
If you participated in the recent Crop & Create Event put on by Scrapbook & Cards Magazine, then this new Create-in-Quads will look familiar to you!
Our innovative Create-in-Quads Layering Stencils make it easy to create four different A2 cards in minutes! The Father’s Day Favorites stamp set is a simple way to add a beautiful, handlettered touch to your Father’s Day cards and crafts. Set includes four sentiments:
- Happy Father’s Day (2 styles)
- Best Dad Ever
- #1 Dad
Cut out the sentiments to set them off and add dimension to your projects with the coordinating Father’s Day Favorites die collection.
Melody Rupple used the Create-in-Quads Hexagon Layering Stencil set paired with the Fathers Day Favorites stamp set to create several Father’s Day cards. She stenciled the hexagons in several shades of blue and green to create the background and cut them out with a Stitched Rectangle Stacklets die. The sentiments are stamped in coordinating colors, cut out with the coordinating dies, and added to the stenciled panels. The ‘#1 Dad’ sentiment is added to a t-shirt die cut from the new Dad Bod set that you’ll learn about below.
Everyone loves a good dad joke, right? And what’s ‘cooler’ than a dad joke on a t-shirt??? The Dad Bod Stamp & Die Combo set includes a t-shirt die and nine different ‘dad joke’ style sentiments that you can add to the shirt (or use on their own) to celebrate Dad and other men in your life!
What’s the perfect pairing with a t-shirt? Jeans! The Denim Background stamp will fill up an A2 sized card front to create denim textured backgrounds and patterns for your masculine themed projects and more!
Kavya brought the dad jokes with this Father’s Day card that she created with the Dad Bod Stamp & Die Combo set. She added colored sleeves and trim to the shirt in green and added the sentiment stamped in a coordinating green ink. The shirt is added to a background stamped with the Denim Background stamp with Blue Corn ink on Blueberry cardstock. The ‘Happy Father’s Day’ sentiment from the Father’s Day Favorites stamp set is embossed in Cookie Monster on Blueberry cardstock and cut out with the coordinating die.
Make a statement with your cards to send encouragement, support, and more when you use the sentiments from our Oh No You Didn’t stamp set. Featuring a trendy serif font with extra tails and flourishes, the sentiments include:
- you do you!
- oh no you didn’t!
- get it girl!
- ba-bam!
- good vibes
Set coordinates with the On No You Didn’t die collection (sold separately).
I love the fresh and bright color combination that Emily Mydlowski used with the Create-in-Quads Hexagon Layering Stencil set. Emily stenciled the hexagon designs using Poblano Pepper, Dijon, Fruit Punch, and Raspberry Sorbet inks. There are details added to the hexagons on a few of the cards that are either stamped with the Happy Hex Add-Ons stamp set or cut out with the Happy Hex dies. Sentiments on three of the cards are from the Oh No You Didn’t stamp set (+ coordinating dies) and the fourth card has a sentiment from the Father’s Day Favorites stamp set.
Send an uplifting note with the Clearly Crafty Oh Yes You Did stamp set. The set includes six larger sentiments along with smaller, coordinating sentiments that you can combine them with or use individually. Accent the sentiments with the small icon images included in the set and cut out the six larger sentiments with the Oh Yes You Did die collection.
Jill Hawkins also went bright and colorful with this card created with the Create-in-Quads Hexagon Layering Stencil set! She used Lollipop, Lime Zest, Pineapple, and Blue Raspberry inks to stencil the hexagons and framed the background with a Lollipop frame from the A2 Thin Frame Cutting Plate die. The sentiment is from the Oh Yes You Did stamp set and is surrounded by stars cut out from silver glitter cardstock and Bits & Pieces – Cosmic Drip Drops.
