Today’s video from Joy Baldwin features the Squeeze the Day Stencil & Clear Combo set and coordinating Squeeze the Day dies. Watch below to see how Joy created this bright and cheery card:
In the video, Joy creates a background with the Squeeze the Day Stencil & Clear Combo set on Toffee cardstock. She stenciled the lemons with Lemon Meringue ink shaded with Honey ink and the leaves with Granny Smith ink shaded with Peapod ink. Then Joy used the coordinating dies to cut out lemons, leaves, and flowers. She added color to the lemons and leaves with the same ink colors as she used on the background. On the flowers she added a bit of color with Copic Markers one the petals and Peapod ink for the flower centers. The ‘hey, sweet friend’ sentiment is stamped with Lemon Meringue ink and cut out with the coordinating die.
Joy added the die cut lemons and sentiment to a piece of vellum cut out with a Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets die cut to layer over the top of the stenciled background. The vellum allows the background to show through while still allowing the sentiment and die cut lemons to stand out! The final touch on the card is the sweet flowers scattered through out the lemons and leaves.
Check out the list below for all of the supplies that Joy used on her card:
Here’s another round up of inspiration from the TE Creative Team using products from this week’s release:
This sympathy card by Lori Craig features the ‘with deepest sympathy’ sentiment from the Anytime Expressions stamp set. The sentiment is embossed in gold and cut out with a coordinating die from the Modern Sentiment Labels die collection. Lori put together a comforting design using the Tropical Leaves die collection in soft green tones to surround the sentiment. The background of the card is impressed with the Diamonds Piercing Plate and a few white Tiny Diamonds sprinkled around the leaves are the finishing touch.
Melody Rupple created this pretty card with the Good Hearted Background stamp. She embossed the background with rose gold embossing powder on Rose Water cardstock. The sentiment is put together with the ‘love’ from the Ring Around the Words die collection and the ‘you are amazing’ and ‘friend’ from the Building Blocks – Ring Around stamp. Melody framed the ‘love’ with the largest frame in the Stitched Frame Stacklets 3 die collection cut out from rose gold foil cardstock. She also cut out the Little Bits – Wonky Hearts from rose gold foil cardstock and added them around the sentiment.
This colorful card featuring the ‘hey’ Ring Around the Words die and ‘I miss you’ from the Building Blocks – Ring Around stamp was created by Jill Hawkins. Well, not completely by Jill…! I actually created the background with Piñata alcohol inks when crafting with Jill this past spring and in a round about way she ended up using it on this card! Jill cut out the background with a Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets die, impressed it with one of the Diagonal Stitch Rectangle Stacklets, and added the sentiment along with a touch of her signature stitching.
Emily Mydlowski created a bright and colorful pair of Mini Slim cards with the Squeeze the Day products. With just a change of color, you can change up your whole look! The card on the left is stenciled using the Squeeze the Day Stencil & Clear Combo set with Lime Zest, Key Lime, and Lollipop inks to create a background of limes. For the card on the right, she stenciled the design with Potato Chip, Dijon, Poblano Pepper, and Lime Zest to create the background of lemons. The sentiments on both cards are cut out with the Squeeze the Day dies and Emily added flowers and/or leaves to the cards to complete the look!
This quick and easy card by Melody Rupple was created with the Squeeze the Day Stencil & Clear Combo set. The lemons are stenciled with Potato Chip ink shaded with Pineapple ink and the leaves with Granny Smith ink shaded with Peapod ink. The ‘you’re the zest!’ sentiment is stamped with Oreo Ink and cut out with the Squeeze the Day dies. The background is cut out with a Stitched Rectangle Stacklets die, layered onto a layer of Oreo Cardstock cut out with a Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets die, and added to a Sugar Cube card base. Melody added a few Bits & Pieces – Iridescent Rhinestones to add a touch of sparkle.
