A Little Bird Told Me…
Every time I get together with friends to stamp, we all bring white paper and black ink pads and stamp images to color later. When I get home, I put the stamped images in a drawer and promptly forget to use them! Excellent use of time, huh!? lol. So I was searching through my drawer of stamped images last night and came across these four Penny Black characters that I thought would be fun to color. The stamps came from Eclectic Paperie: Chirping Bird, Chic Chick, Romantic Dog, and Cheers. I colored the images with Copic markers, cut them out, and popped them up on the white layer. The outside sentiment is from A Muse and inside it says “It’s Your Birthday” from Stampin’ Up. I used my brand new (I just got them yesterday!) Spellbinder’s die to punch out the sentiment. It is similar to Stampin’ Up’s word window punch, but it’s a little bit wider with three different sizes and the capability to emboss the edges! The lemonade is covered with glossy effects and other parts of the animals are highlighted with Star Dust Stickles. The patterned paper is MOD and the ribbon is American Crafts. I used Papertrey’s Summer Sunrise for the card base. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
