Sweet Pea
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Ours was busier than expected with dog-sitting, a trip to pick up new ribbons, and a bowling adventure on Saturday night. I love to bowl, but I’m really not very good. I let everyone know that I wasn’t very good at bowling, but that I try my best and have fun with it. Well… I think I bowled the game of my life! I had the high score of the evening with a 154! Usually I struggle just to break 100! Needless to say, my friends thought I was trying to hustle them by telling them I wasn’t very good. They’ll never believe me again. LOL! Thanks to those of you who played the sketch challenge over the weekend! I loved looking through all the different interpretations of the sketch. The winner of the two stamps from Impress Rubber Stamps is Monika! You can check out her beautiful card here! Monika, email me (tayloredexpressions@gmail.com) with your address and I’ll send them off to you right away! I thought it might be fun to show you how I take inspiration from ATC’s I receive through swaps. I love swapping ATC’s and I’m hoping to find time to host another one soon! I received the ATC on the right from Dawn Chau. Isn’t it adorable!? I love her color combination and how she cut out the pea and adhered it over the scalloped circle. Thanks for the inspiration, Dawn! For the color combination on my card I used Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush, Stampin’ Up Certainly Celery, and Cryogen White shimmery cardstock. The pea image is from Papertrey’s Green Thumb set. The Dotted Diamonds backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms is stamped in Papertrey Sweet Blush ink. I cut out the pea (which was tough with that curly stem!), and added green Dew Drops for the peas. The ribbon is Papertrey Swiss Dot Satin in Sweet Blush. Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
