Beyond Easy Cleaning & Organizing Tips – Binder Boxes!
Hey, crafty friends! One of the best things about getting your craft space cleaned and organized is how it inspires and motivates you to create. Anytime I clean up my space, it doesn’t take long for me to mess it up again… #craftermath! I try to remind myself when I don’t feel like cleaning up how much that process actually motivates me to make more! And that is what this is all about, right? How can I make time and have the inspiration and motivation to make all the things!
Doing things like cleaning up (Stamper’s Spritz!) and organizing your supplies actually will make it easier for you to create. To encourage all of this cleaning and organization, all of the products in the storage collection at the Taylored Expressions webstore are 19% off through this Sunday, January 20, no coupon code required.
Today, let’s talk about organizing your stamps and dies. If you are like me, you probably have quite a collection. If you have a large collection, it is important to keep it organized so you can find the stamps and dies that you are inspired to use quickly. We have a few tools to share with you today that can help you with that organization. Check out the video below to learn about the binder box system from Taylored Expressions:
You might have noticed in the video that it’s great to have a little fun when you organize too! All this labeling and sorting can get… boring. But it’s worth it, and it’s worth adding in a few things to make you smile too.
So let’s take a look at the products that Taylor talked about in the video:
The Storage Binder Box measures 9″ tall, 7 1/2″ wide and is 1 1/4″ deep. There is a plastic 3-ring binder inside the box that fit the Magnetic Die Storage Panels and Stamp Storage Panels (that I will share more about in just a bit.) So you can store stamps – both rubber cling and clear – and dies in the binder boxes.
The binder boxes fully close with a clip on the side of the box, so nothing should accidentally slip out of the sides. You can also customize the binders with inserts that you can download (sold separately) or create yourself. Think about how easy it would be to grab the binder box that you need from a shelf in your craft space. The binder boxes are also perfect for packing up your supplies for a craft get together or keeping projects organized. The Storage Binder Box retails for $10.00 each.
The large sized stamp sets from the Taylored Expressions webstore have punched holes and are designed to fit perfectly into the Storage Binder Box. You can fit up to 4 of the large (full sized) sized sets into a binder box.
The Stamp Storage Panels are perfect for storing other stamps in your collection. You can store both rubber cling and clear stamps on the 5 3/4″ x 8 1/2″ panels. With the rubber cling stamps, you would be able to fit 4 of the panels comfortably in the binder box. If you are storing clear stamps, you will be able to do more than 4 panels because the clear stamps are not as thick as the rubber cling stamps. The Stamp Storage Panels retail for $3.50 for a set of 4.
The Magnetic Die Storage Panels are designed to hold your steel dies on one side (magnetic) of the 5 1/2″ x 8 1/4″ panel and the other side can hold rubber cling or clear stamps. If you store just dies on the panels, the recommended limit for the binder boxes is 8-10 panels. More might fit, but dies are heavy and more than 8-10 panels could damage the plastic ring system inside the binder box.
You can use the panels without the binder box like Taylor did here. This is especially great when you have a large die collection! She found a container that fit the panels and then filed the panels into the container by theme. The tabs on the dividers were created with the Tab Edger die and then she added labels using her own label maker. The Magnetic Die Storage Panels retail for $7.00 for a set of 3.
Next, let’s talk about options to customize the binder boxes. There are several different downloads available in the Taylored Expressions for $2.50 each that coordinate with the Storage Binder Box. Here’s a look at the download options:
The Teal Polka Dots Spine Insert download includes 5 pages of spine inserts with a matching polka dot teal background. One page includes labels for holidays and occasions, one page each is dedicated to “stamps” or “dies, and the remaining 2 pages are blank so you can write in or label with your own organizational categories. The Teal Polka Dots Spine Insert download retails for $2.50.
The Snarky Spine Insert download includes 2 pages of 7 spine inserts on each page. One page includes snarky labels for the spines of your Storage Binder Boxes that will keep you giggling all throughout your crafting! The second page of spine inserts are blank so you can add your own snarky (or sweet!) sentiments. The Snarky Spine Insert download retails for $2.50.
The Crafty Grumpling Binder Box Insert download includes 4 cover options and coordinating spines to customize your binder boxes. There are 4 fun Grumplings in their crafting messes that are prefect for organizing your own crafty clutter! Each design has room to label your binder boxes withe their contents. The Crafty Grumpling Binder Box download retails for $2.50.
And one last option for downloads to customize the binder boxes (and my personal favorite) is the Snarky Critter Binder Insert download. This download includes 6 different snarky critter cartoons that are perfectly sized to insert into the Storage Binder Boxes. Keep your craft space funny with these constant reminders of relatable crafting dilemmas! These particular inserts could easily be framed to display in your craft space as well! The Snarky Critter Binder Insert download retails for $2.50.
And finally, you can find a bit one one stop shopping with the Die Storage Bundle. You can pick and choose the binder box, magnetic die sheets, and the Snarky Critter inserts in one stop at the Taylored Expressions webstore.
