Taylored Expressions January Release Day: Date Night Frame
Hey there! The January Release is here! Yesterday the Baker’s Dozen and I sneak peeked all of the new sets and many of you joined us for the preview party on Facebook last night! Wasn’t that fun!?
Now you can find all of the new products in the Fresh Out of the Oven department. You’ll also want to make sure you check out our Current Specials page to find out about the special sweetness for the first 100 customers!
Before you head out to shop and hop around to see the inspiring projects from the Baker’s Dozen, check out this video I recorded to show you all the new products!
And now for my project! I am just *giddy* with excitement to share it with all of you! I love perusing Pinterest and I saw this pin for a date night jar. I love this idea! It reminded me that dates don’t have to cost a lot of money, or even require a babysitter or much planning ahead. So I set out to create something cute with a purpose of fulfilling our date night needs. Here’s what I came up with:
I purchased this frame from a craft store with the wire already screwed into the frame. It came with the clips so all I had to do was decide what I wanted to clip up. I made my own pockets using our new Banner Stacklets 1 set by adhering two flags back to back. The patterned paper is from the Love Birds collection by Doodlebug. I also used the Little Bitty favor bags in pink, blue, grey, and red.
I decorated the bags with lots of different lovey dovey images from the Valentine Doodles set along with the Poster Graphic Alpha dies and Cupid’s Arrows dies. Inside each of the pockets is a different date night option. I think we’ll draw a new date night idea each Monday so we have some time to find a sitter if necessary or perhaps we’ll enjoy a move night on a a Wednesday after Madi goes to bed. I like the flexibility and spontaneity!
Here’s a closeup of the new Love Tree die that I used to decorate the bottom of the frame.
I cut the tree out of brown, pink, and red and then cut the hearts off the pink and red trees and pieced them onto the brown. I’ll be honest… yes, it was time consuming but actually rather easy with the help of my Embellie Gellie for picking up the small pieces! And I love how that sweet puppy looks under the tree!
Here are the supplies I used on this project that you can find at the TE Store:
Thanks so much for stopping by for our release festivities today! Make sure you check out the rest of the goodies the Baker’s Dozen girls have to share. And we’ll be back tomorrow and Thursday to share some more projects!
