Today, Taylored Expressions turns 18!

This milestone belongs to the Crafty Friends who have shared their creativity, encouraged one another, and used handmade cards to bring love and joy to people everywhere. Whether you’ve been creating with us for years or recently found the TE community, you are part of the reason we’re celebrating.

Today’s 18th Birthday Bash is our way of saying thank you, with new birthday products, two special promotions, plenty of inspiration, and an evening spent crafting together!

One birthday cake can become something completely different in the hands of every crafter.

Throughout today’s Creative Team gallery, you’ll see Birthday Bonfire dressed up in bright rainbow combinations, softer palettes, rich celebratory colors, and plenty of shimmer. Different toppers, greetings, layers, and finishing details show how easily you can adapt the design to fit your recipient and the occasion.

Use these projects as a starting point, then choose colors and details that tell the birthday person, “This was made especially for you.”

TE Creative Team member Emily Mydlowski‘s birthday card lets the recipient’s age shine! Her 17-shaped candles, pastel cake layers, and sparkling pink icing offer a fun formula you can customize for any milestone celebration.

TE Creative Team member Jen Shults gives Birthday Bonfire a warm, handcrafted look by pairing a brightly colored cake with gold accents, a textured birthday background, and a simple twine bow. The coordinating die allows the full cake to become a dimensional focal point, giving you even more freedom to layer it into your favorite card layouts.

Why keep the confetti on the cake when you can fill the entire card with it? TE Creative Team member Jill Hawkins turns Birthday Bonfire into a playful shaker card, surrounding the pastel cake and personalized “You Rock” banner with colorful movement that makes opening the card feel like a party.

A milestone birthday calls for a card that puts the guest of honor’s age front and center! TE Creative Team member Amy Kolling uses number-shaped candles, glittery pink icing, and a fresh pink, green, and teal palette to create a playful 21st birthday card that feels personal without becoming complicated.

TE Creative Team member Melody Rupple turns the Birthday Bonfire cake into a celebration made especially for Chloe! A personalized banner, sugary sparkle, confetti details, and layers of pink, green, and chocolate brown show how easily you can tailor this design to the birthday person’s name, age, and favorite colors.

TE Designer Lori Craig celebrates 90 in sparkling style with a monochromatic pink Birthday Bonfire design. Patterned candles, dimensional number toppers, silver accents, and layered scalloped frames show how you can use one favorite color in different shades and finishes to create a milestone card with plenty of impact.

TE Creative Team member Deby Bauer packs this card with color, texture, and plenty of candles! The die-cut Birthday Bonfire cake pops against a softly inked birthday background, while gold sparkle, colorful confetti, and a tied twine bow make the “so many candles” greeting feel even more festive.

At 7 PM CT tonight, Taylor will guide Crafty Friends through the Birthday Bonfire project during our live virtual Craft-Along Party.

Bring your 18th Birthday Craft-Along Kit, choose colors that fit your style or recipient, and invite someone special to craft alongside you. Along with Taylor’s step-by-step instruction, we’ll revisit moments from TE history and celebrate the joy crafters bring to the people around them.
