Yesterday’s challenge on splitcoaststampers was to use adhesive for something other than adhering paper together (click here to view the challenge). So I sat down last night to try out my idea. I punched out circles from my sheet of terrifically tacky tape, adhered them to the bottom of the card in a nice line, covered them with clear embossing powder and heated. Voila!…. a super cute background!

But then I got to thinking how absolutely stupid I am. I just spent forever punching out and aligning circles of tape to my card and I realized it would have been much easier to just stamp circles along the bottom of the card in versamark and emboss them… same effect… much easier! Can you say “DUH”!?!?

But anyway, the whole point was to use adhesive in a new and creative way and I succeeded in that! 🙂 I’m still happy with how the card turned out so it wasn’t a total loss of creative energy. LOL!
